Can't stop thinking about them.

And what a gift that show is. Apart from sense8 I think I never had that kind of honest, real and especially outright canonical representation of lgbtqia+ folks and relationships and it makes me kinda angry that a lot of the other shows only baited us and then didn't deliver and I didn't really have something like this until now.

Something that doesn't dramatize being gay, queer or trans*, because it's part of the story and not the only focus. Something that is (to me at least) more real and representative than any other show.

To everyone who worked on this, thank you for this wonderful show. ❤

The fact that Owen wanted to have the last book's theme be acceptance. The fact that he wanted to base it on his grandfather's memoir's of his decline from Alzheimers...

At first I'm going to be frank as someone who has dealt with memory issues. I balked at this. When Agents of Shield Season 2 aired I actually jumped ship at one point because for a while I had a hard time dealing with my memory retention problems. Now adays its not a problem. But back then it was.

But now I'm thinking about it. And now God I wish we could have got this. This could have been such a big deal. So much media tackles disability and illness from the caretaker's perspective. Especially memory based issues. The fact that we could have had this kind of full on canon representation in a kids show where the story would have been from the perspective of the person slowly losing their memory. This would have been a huge deal. Admittedly I'm assuming that if he's using his grandfather's memoirs that the acceptance part would have dealt with coming to terms with living and accepting the more difficult parts of having a chronic illness.

God damnit HBOMax please change your mind and bring the show back.
