More respect for mentally disabled people. Respect people who have trouble interpreting numbers and difficulties doing basic math unassisted. Or remembering things like which month comes after which. People who can't come to conclusions based on a few social hints and need to be told things upfront. Who don't understand big words. Who need alot of things explained. People with cognitive disabilities. People who need slow, clear and personalized instructions, or hands-on assistance in tasks other people may find "obvious". People who are unable to study independently. People who are unable to work independently, or heck just do any task deemed "ordinary" independently. People with high assistance needs deserve more respect period
Being mentally ill and having a psychology degree/knowledge about mental illness is so funny like. I was talking to the lady assessing me for therapy and mentioned I have a compulsive need to do chores when they're not done and she asked me "do you think something bad will happen if you don't do them" and I have to hold back from being like "listen lady I know you're trying to work out if I have OCD. I've been trying to do that for a while now. Lemme know what you think xxx"

Don't obsess over minor things that make you anxious
you ever realize you’re never gonna be one of those people that just easily fit in with people your age and get along with them and can become social and outgoing because you are so painstakingly “different” and neurodivergent in every way from your speech patterns to your body language to your behavior that in a crowd you’re always going to be viewed by majority as the “weird” one or just me
if you have adhd or any other mental disorder, you might have a problem with feeling happy and/or relaxed without guilt. it's like as if the universe wants you to feel bad for simply existing without doing anything.
my therapist explained to me how i have been self-sabotaging by always making sure i'm not 100% happy because it's bad and it really damages the way i view my life.
we are allowed to exist without feeling guilty. productivity is not everything in life. it's okay to simply exist. there will be times where we have to be productive and there will be times where we can take a step back and relax.
allow yourself to feel relaxed without guilt, please.
my favourite thing is when a person without a specific disability nor having any professional expertise in that disability tries to lecture a person with that disability on what it is and then fakeclaims them <333333 /s
i hate having to pretend to be happy because my intense emotional pain is a result of something 99.9% of people would find pathetic and laughable. yeah i felt like i was stabbed in my heart and i cried myself to sleep for a week because i am in love with a fictional character and also i am another fictional character from the same manga. no i can't just "grow up" or "touch grass" and become a normal person who goes on dates with real life people. i am mentally ill and it shouldn't be an insult or shameful to be
