I feel like Robby’s reaction to the Dr. Al Hashimi storyline violates several laws both related to disclosure of disability in the workplace and not sharing confidential medical information without permission, but you know I could be wrong about that, it could just be spiritual

I was going into a water park today and I use a rollator (we go for the lazy river). At security I was told I had to register and sign a waiver which included that I was disabled and used a rollator, my full name, address, and phone number. They also wanted to put a big red tag on my rollator saying its not a wheelchair.

I signed the form because i felt pushed to and was being threatened with not having my walker but is this even legal? It seems like discrimination based on the device I use?

And the red tag was very thick and hard to cut off (I made them cut it off before I entered the park), not something I'd be able to cut off on my own with my hand problems.

Its my understanding that the ADA says they can't require information for mobility devices. Im going to be writing to their accessibility person as soon as I can.

my gym has a wheelchair lift n i called n asked if it was working and the person i talked to said it was shakey n to just use the ramp so i will be calling when the manager is in tomorrow and letting them know it’s an ada violation n they need to get it mcfucking fixed 🥰🔪

Correct me if I'm wrong but having the isles set up like this so someone standing on two legs can barely fit is a definite ADA violation. There is no way a wheelchair could fit through here, a cane user barely could and couldn't at one spot

Threatening government agencies with injunction when they violate ADA law is probably my favorite pastime.

How much aura did I loose after having to hop this curb in my wheelchair because the ice freezer blocked the no longer ADA compliant access to the gas station after I got home from an hour long drive, only to find myself locked out of the house mid IBS flare just to make it to the gas station in time but destroying another pair of underwear because I couldn't get up the curb in time?

Yeahhhh I really really really HATE my life right now.

So yeah ice machines are have priority over the law now. Yayyyyyyyyyy

The floors are wood framed and so dilapidated that Linda’s walker will roll away from her if she lets go of it. I am not kidding; it is truly dangerous for her.

Also, the management allows guests without disabilities to park in the handicapped designated spaces. I spoke to them about it and they said the parking lot was full. It wasn’t. Nope, the lot was NOT full. There were about 6 spaces available that were not as close to the building as the handicapped spaces.
