6 Underrated/minor comic book characters I need to see more of in a major capacity

I'll continue to be annoyed at their lack of relevance due to:

Starfire is underrated, and in response, her brother is, too--to the point where he's pretty much just male Starfire. Most people don't even know he exists because he's part of a team no one pays attention to. Have him join the Titans when Starfire isn't there (or even when she is) and we have progress.

Shinobi Shaw is proto-Daken: bisexual mutant son of a white male mutant and a Japanese woman, but unlike Daken, Shinobi's dad isn't all that famous (at least not on his own), so he's often just left to background/minor-recurring villain.

Ghost-Maker is an interesting character to me, and as a fan of original LGBT+ characters, I'm disappointed that shortly after he debuted, DC had Tim Drake come out as bi, and suddenly he's the only guy in the Batfam who can get the spotlight while Ghost-Maker just fades in and out of necessary canon.

Adam X debuted in 1993, and only had 23 appearances since then; almost 30 years later, it's revealed he's the half-brother of Cyclops (and thus Havok and Vulcan), but despite Cyclops, his love interests, and kids demanding a good amount of attention, Adam, like his and Cyclops' brothers, is still underrated. Plus he's also half alien, so I'd at least expect to see him in a GOTG title if not an X-title.

Tommy pretty much just exists as a younger, bisexual Quicksilver, and since his mom and uncle's mutant status has been revoked and Billy is in the spotlight thanks to his magical potential, Tommy just fades to the background. Prodigy was even forced to break up with him because the makers of "Nyx" claimed he was a mutant and Krakoa-involved--neither or which were true, but may as well be since he has nothing else going on besides showing up in family stories.

Somnus, like Ghost-Maker, is an original LGBT+ character, but got forgotten after "Marauders" ended. He recently appeared in giving Wanda advice, and she called him the King of Dreams--both of which I find super weird since they never interacted before and this was another annoying case of mutants being magical, which kinda blurs their status. On the other hand, I wonder if this could put him against Nightmare and start showing up in Dr. Strange titles.

Adam Neramani Summers is an alien hybrid antihero, best known as Adam X or X-Treme; genetically engineered by the alien Shi'ar (cloned from their DNA mixed w/ human Katherine Summers), he's gifted w/ the mutant power to make blood heat and ignite, at will; stolen from Shi'ar royal custody as a baby & raised as a warrior, he's been manipulated, at times, by villains, but at his best, the journey to discover his true origins has led him to team up w/ X-Force (led by his half-nephew Cable) & the X-Men (including his half-brothers Cyclops & Havok)!

Red (2016)

Made this one years ago for a canon compliant (at the time) AU. Where Scott Summers (Cyclops) unlocks his powers as they're falling from the sky after jumping from their burning plane. I drew this in 2016 but the AU has been rolling around my head since 2009 lol. I mean... I tried to keep it canon compliant but canon keeps changing its mind.

This was supposed to be for a comic that features all (three at the time) Summers brothers. It starts off as Alex centric where he keeps getting these dreams of Scott, himself and Gabriel (now with Adam) as young kids living together in an orphanage. He thinks it's just part of the grieving process (Cyclops was still *no longer in circulation* at the time). Until he gets called to asses a mutant 'threat' which leads him to an abandoned orphanage somewhere in Alaska where it turns out there are mini versions of Summers boys running around with all of their original powers. And there's no way in hell he's turning these kids over to the Avengers

Oh man it was gonna explore the Phoenix force like a teen fanfic. And Norse Loki lore like that one kid he saved from that giant, and that kid was gonna be the Summers ancestor. And Odin cursed the kid and that's why the Sunmers bloodline is screwed up.

And the original Phoenix force was gonna be Lokis fire troll daughters that ascended and escaped marvel!ragnarok. And they've lived for centuries looking for their mom - but this version of Loki had red hair and green eyes and that's why the Phoenix force is always getting attached to red heads

totga!Reader occasionally buying the cologne Adam used to wear, not even to wear themself, just to spritz on the other side of their bed and around their house sometimes to give the illusion of him being there.

Adam definitely notices when he visits their place for the first time, and the nostalgia hits him hard, but he doesn’t say anything… for now.
