x-men is about ownership of your identity & actions and about finding out who you are through the eyes of others. and about lesbians.
Kurt Wagner AKA Nightcrawler with Reader who plans to sacrifice themself on an upcoming suicide mission.
The two of you are sitting together on the dock of the lake close to the school late at night. No one else was around. You were wearing the outfit that Kurt loved on you.
"It shouldn't be you that's doing this" Kurt mumbled while swaying his hands through the water.
"If I dont someone important will"
"But you're important!"
"Kurt, my power is a giant fucking sword, that's it. In the grand scheme of things, its better me than someone like Storm."
You left with the rest of the team, Kurt promised to not tell them your plan. The ket there was tense, no one could even breathe.
As Kurt fought, he saw you walking towards Stryfe, sword dragging on the floor besides you. The sound alerted everyone, Kurt looked desperately around to his superiors, silently begging anyone to do something. His eyes caught Wolverine, who looked sad but not sorry. Logan understood what you were doing.
You delivered a deep wound to Stryfe's abdomen. Stryfe turns angerly ywords you, using hos telekenisis to lift you into the air. He began to slowly cut off your air. He let it happen slowly. Watch your lips turn purple, watch you claw at something that wasn't there. Stryfe smiled as he did it.
Kurt watched, his lungs becoming tighter and tighter. Bile crawling up his throat. And there was a moment of clarity when the two fo you made eye contact, he was losing what he loved again, like he always did. And he was losing them violently.
Cyclops took the chance of Steyfe distracted to deliver the killing blow. Straight to the abdomen.
As soon as Stryfe crumpled, Kurt teleported to your discarded body. You were already dead. But then again, that's what you had always planned to do.
