Last month I made a whole bunch of Pride Flag Icons for LGBTQ+ Pride Month. I decided to keep that going for Disability Pride Month and make icons for those flags as well!
These are all 96x96 sprites, perfect size to use for your tumblr avatar image! Can either be used as is, or as a background to add your avatar to
From Top to Bottom, Left to Right:
The Disability Pride Flag, made by Ann Magill in 2021. The Red stripe represents those with physical disabilities. The Gold stripe represents neurodiversity and those with cognitive or intellectual disabilities. The White stripe represents invisible and undiagnosed disabilities. The Blue stripe represents psychiatric disabilities. The Green stripe represents sensory and sensory processing disabilities. The black background represents the mourning and rage for the victims of ableist violence and abuse
The Neurodiversity Infinity Symbol. It represents the infinite potential and diversity of neurodivergent people all over the world. It was originally used for the Autism Spectrum in particular, but has since come to represent neurodiverse people as a whole
The Autism Spectrum Pride Flag. Uses the Rainbow infinity symbol coupled with a gold background, a nod to the gold stripe on the Disability Pride Flag representing neurodiversity
The Red Instead Autism Pride Flag. Nearly identical to the previous, but with a red background instead of gold. Used during Autism Acceptance Month to fight back against organizations who claim to help people on the spectrum, but are actually extremely ableist and tend to shut out Autistic voices
The ADHD Butterfly Symbol. Represents people on the ADHD Spectrum. Uses a rainbow gradient similar to the Rainbow Infinity symbols. It represents creativity, transformation, and inclusivity. There are several versions of this symbol, but this is the one that I have seen use most frequently
Hope everyone enjoys!
(Note: The original Disability Pride Flag was made by Ann Magill in 2016. However, it was redesigned to be more visually safe for those with visually induced migraines and visually triggered seizures. In favor of not triggering either of those two conditions, I've decided not to include it here)
(Note 2: I've also seen and heard about designs for an orange ADHD Butterfly, but I wasn't able to find a good quality image for it. I've also seen some sites say it was outdated, but others say that it was still currently in use. If someone could confirm or deny that for me, that would be great!)
(Note 3: There are many other symbols for various other disabled groups. These are just the ones that I know of that I've seen the most often.)
I literally just found out that the adhd symbol is a rainbow butterfly
and that’s cool and all but like, there’s no way that’s not a thing solely because we are always going “oh hey look a butterfly” and getting distracted lmao
Hello! May I request a nonbinary moodboard (with the ADHD butterfly looking symbol, I could totally PM you the transparent if you need me too!^^) with soft themes?
Hi! I assume this is the symbol- if not let me know
