- 3 days before class starts

today's workspace and choice of highlighter colors and number is much less chaotic than last night, haha (i mean, I have already cleaned up since taking a break from 3rd pomo session to wrap up my laundry but it's really less messy hahaha)

for fundamentals of rt, I am tempted to buy a copy of the book and weirdly enjoyed writing notes down on a bond paper rather than in a notebook and I was supposed to make a bank run after this study session but it's quickly getting dark and since we're still in enhanced community quarantine, bank personnel including the guards only work half the day, soo tomorrow early morning I shall go quickly and buy myself a stock of eyedrops as my eyes dry really quick even when I'm not on my phone or laptop.

Advance Study / Read: 

It is not just about writing and listening during the lecture, but also you need to read ahead or at least view the next topic.. you might not understand it right away at least you have an idea but, trust me during the lecture the topic you read before or just scheme it will be flashing back in your head and

"ok, now I get it"

it happens to me a lot.... of course when I study in advance or just read in advance 😆

and that what you’re doing (studying in advance) is a repetition (well according to my professor ) because...

you read or study before you go to class you’ve gained knowledge and then during the lecture you’ve also gained knowledge .. and I remember in one of my profs. ed course repetition is helping to assimilate the information for long term memory .. also not all students can attain, learn, and apply new information right away in single exposure ~ and repetition can help.

random studying 101

Remove all distractions. When I was in 9th-10th grade, I let my sister hide my phone and I also said to her that don’t give it to me until the specific time. Now, I hide it in my cabinet or under my pillow. Hide it so that it will be gone in your sight. 

Music. Don’t play music that is distracting and with lyrics. Make sure they make you concentrate and focus on the task. (Use earphones or headphones!)

Motivate yourself. Sometimes, no one will motivate you so you have to motivate yourself. Find quotes, videos and things that will motivate you enough to study.

Study beverage. This is really important to me. I always study while drinking something. Tea, hot chocolate or coffee. I don’t know but they help me focus. 

Study in places with natural light. 

If you can’t focus in your room, study in the library. Sometimes, my siblings are noisy and I can’t really understand my lessons anymore, I will go to school early. ( I have afternoon class.) So, I will go to school two hours before class. 

Don’t wait until the day before or cram because you will not remember anything. When you cram, your brain can’t encode the information to your long-term memory. Because of that, you will not remember anything in the morning. 

If you believe that you can’t keep up in the lesson, make sure that before the lesson you advance study. I always do this especially in math because I need tons of practice before I get it. 

Organize your time and follow it. Don’t just make a time plan, you need to implement it in your day.

- 4 days before class starts !!

have no idea what went on today but by 8pm, I fell asleep and felt really tired although in comparison to usual days, I did less today ?

anywho, my notebook binders came yesterday and I have already written a lot in my journal and as I was afraid of messing up, I did minimal designs such as the butterfly I made on the page of my schedule with petals from my collection of pressed orchid flowers (that one's my favorite, pressed and fresh haha)

it's been awhile since I studied late at night, but as I wasn't able to during the early morning and the rest of the day, I still pushed with the energy I got from dinner and sweets I've eaten after, haha.

well, it's time to get back to studying, I hope you all have a restful night! 🌠

- part 1: 5/100 days of productivity

Not sure if our RTCC (Respiratory Therapist Computer Concepts) is cancelled or the professor is waiting until 6PM since the class is from 1:30 to 6:30PM (that´s why I´m still in my uniform top, just in case the professor requires for us to wear uniform tops or polos or blouses and here in my study area at our living room) but as of the moment I have been ticking off things I need to do before Monday even though it´s a holiday that day so I could just watch the pre-recorded lectures for the 3 subjects and make my notes for it so I won´t have to fret for the rest of the week or for the next meeting.

Currently got done with writing down the course outline for hert and frt (I like writing them down to be guided with studying and what to expect for the next meeting) and now 9/15 through with the ppt for major historical events in science, med and respiratory care for frt !! Later today I´ll be having another study session with my friends from RT in my past uni and these are my plans for that time:

watch playback of cardiorespi anaphy lecture from wednesday for note taking

go through biochemistry notes from upperclassmen (I´m not quite good with this subject so this is one I need to really do an advance study of aside from the other subjects)

Don´t forget to take a breather between tasks !!

‐1/100 days of productivity challenge

first day back in uni !! didn't do much, mostly just introductions and orientations but for microbiology, our class opted to have the first discussion done for the next meeting and we asked for our doc's powerpoint to be discussed so I started to write down notes soon after the class got dismissed, took a nap after a bit and now I'm going to continue studying with some highschool friends on discord !!

(also pretty proud to say I woke up 1-2 hours earlier before my 7:30 class so I was able to do 3 sets of planking of random lengths and cleaned up stuff !!)

- 2/100 days of productivity challenge

have only 1 class for Tuesdays and I thought it's scheduled at 3:30pm but it's really at 1pm, good thing I've checked the block group chat and woke up at 9, haha.

as of the moment it's currently 2:50 am, I just got off discord studying with my high-school friends !! I was going to sleep at 11 but then everyone's present and since it's kind of a 'once in a blue moon' occurrence, I decided to stay until I've read a bit for cardiorespiratory, second subject for tomorrow.

And these are what I was able to do today !!

clean room and fan

clean bathroom

write notes for fundamentals of rt in advance

write down course outline for cardiorespiratory anatomy and physiology (boy was this long)

read a bit from cardiorespi first lecture

also made a guide for highlighter colors per subject, haha

there's nothing unusual with me being sleepy but afternoons make me sleepier than usual these days, morning work out + chores tires me out a lot hahaha

today:

neuroanaphy: started reviewing notes and flashcards from first year on nervous system, made a document for advance study notes

patient assessment and ECG: went through first two lectures, also will made a document for this with additional notes from my friends who took up the subject last year

respiratory physics: another document for this class, not sure if I'll be taking this for this 2nd semester or midyear or next 2nd semester since this one's discussed in my current uni's first year

had a pizza night with my siblings, partnered with some shiraz (for me), watching formula 1 on netflix. really good way to spend the night on a tiring day :)
