Are Aue and Aek dating?
According to their moms: Yes, obviously.
According to their coworkers: Pretty sure, yeah.
According to their friends: Is there any doubt?
According to Aue and Aek: *long, slow eye contact, sheepishly looking away, silence*

Bite me! ME After ep 9 :
- villains are out of the bag : OK!
- Chef's team is happy in love and supports the last stupid soon-to-be couple : funny!
- Chef Aue is more mature, more assertive about his feelings but don't invade Aek private area anymore : perfect!
- Aek? Still confused? Awkward...
But the 30s preview saved my day! Super mother is back and address directly the heart of the subject.
Alleluah!
Ps : when will we have the first kiss for Prem and Vich? Because we know now why Prem didn't kiss last time...
Awkward eye contact and extended staring in general. This show in a nutshell. The little peace sign is adorable, though. Now... PremVich?
Bite Me: This or That?
This is it. The entire show. Cooking and extended, meaningful, eye contact.
Oh my god, Bite Me had so much potential! Mark and Jung are really talented actors, so I really hope they'll have a better script next time. Aek coming out to his mum should've been one of the most touching scenes but sadly it definitely paled compared to He's Coming to Me and Be Loved in House. I mean I bawled like a baby for those shows, and I hardly felt anything for Bite Me ><
I think part of the problem with Bite Me is that the first half (and a bit) set expectations that the show broke and once you break those expectations and that trust... it's hard to enjoy the show the same way.
Aek's coming out scene could have been deeply meaningful and sweet but because of everything that came before, it fell flat. Having Aek never realize he was flirting with Aue just didn't work because it didn't mesh with the rest of the story.
And then they left me even flatter with the reunion afterwards. That should have been a meaningful scene filled with emotion and joy and fear and love and instead it was... nothing. A hint of sweetness and a bit of cuteness by otherwise nothing.
They have these two amazing actors with fantastic chemistry but the script is wasting them by wasting these emotional moments.
Aek smiling in his bed like he's figured everything out while Aue cried in his room because he's given up should have lead to something because it was a beautiful juxtaposition of their emotional states and hopes.
But we got no payoff! Nothing!
Augh!
Reassuring myself a few hours before episode 9 of Bite me!
"Let's be optimistic... Aek has all understood in villain's scheme... he is only blocked by social difference... says that to Aue at the end of the episide, wins the context at the beginning of the next episode and zou! Make-out session during the whole episode !
(Following the rythm of this series, they need at least a whole episode for the first kiss! 😃 )
Bite me! The series. Episode 8 sequels...
Okay, still searching explanations after episode 8. Can't wait episode 9. Why did I watch this series before its full release? Such a mistake...
Theory #3 : after the teaser...
There is a villain, here : the sudden friend from the contest, too nice, too good to be true... is in fact an ennemy of Aue?
So Aek is influenced by this chef? Did I miss a whole episode?
Or is it like ep5? They mix flash back and teaser, and the story is revealed after.
Probability? Perhaps... but I don't really like this sudden plot and this show mounting...
And Aek keeping a secret from Aue? I really fear an agression from this villain to Aek. Perhaps sexual assault? I hope they forget the novel here!!!
