My mom and I were talking the other night about physical disabilities being visible or not (I'll put my opinion in a separate post) and she said something I want to share: masking comes down to capitalism.
People keep raising the prices of basically everything because of capitalism.
To afford things, my mom has to go to work.
She cannot show how much pain she is in or how it affects her physically. Otherwise it could turn off customers and she would eventually lose money. (Which means she wouldn't be able to afford the necessities.)
(I've also seen her go to work in pain that isn't her day-to-day (for example, a headache or a Colitis flare up).)
If capitalism weren't a thing, no one would be forced to mask their disabilities and/or pain.
