I think people underestimate what Frodo was going through when he had to carry the ring to Mordor. Sam is a legend, but Frodo is also a hero. Everyday for six months the guy would wake up and have a Bluetooth wireless connection to Satan himself. He only crumbled in the last moment, Tolkien has said anyone would have fallen for the ring, let alone someone who had been carrying it for so long.

Sam and Frodo are both hero's as they are a two package deal, if one succeeds, the other does too.

It's actually so insanely important the way Thorim gifted Bilbo mithril. In that time Mithril was so fucking rare, the vein only found in Moria which was inaccessible. Mithril became priceless, even a piece of it was worth ten times it's weight in gold. For Thorin, in the hold of sickness that made him suspicious of everyone and his kin of taking his treasure and him revering it, for him to gift Bilbo a WHOLE coat of mithril in FRONT of witnesses as a TOKEN of his intentions ("friendship"). Hold me back. Imagine if Bilbo just walked around Dain (and other dwarves) and other Kings just casually mentioning this precious thing he was wearing was just something Thorin gave him. They would kneel over in shock. It. is. that. insane.

Throughout the movies of The Lord of the Rings I find it personally so fun and interesting seeing both Merry and Pippins character develop because alot of the Lotr fans consider them as just "comic relief" when that is simply not true.

Merry and Pippin go on their own personal quest to grow into their bravery and loyalty separately, which I think is often overlooked

Pippin and Merry are great characters so it makes me sad when people don't understand the impact they bring to the Lord of the Rings movies.

I ADORE this one part in the Fellowship of the ring where frodo volunteers to bring the ring to Mordor when he arrives in Rivendell. Gimli, Gandalf, Legolas, Boromir and Aragorn don't doubt him about his ability to do that task AT ALL. They don't say "Oh sure he's a Hobbit! Surely that is too difficult". Instead, they offer him guidance and support, offering their weapons etc. I love it so much because they have poured their trust, courage and resilience to him and Sam.

Yk having a huge interest in something is all great and wonderful because I get to make friends, make art, edit etc but there are downsides to it too, like my brain is so occupied that I can't concentrate on anything else like my studies or exams. Its frustrating sometimes but I wouldn't wish for it to be any different.

It makes me sad thinking about how bilbo truly wasn't able to settle back into his little hobbit hole post journey, because he too was scarred from it and suffered loss. He probably wasn't as comfortable now knowing how much bigger and scarier the world is outside his books and maps in the shire. He didn't want frodo knowing about the ring until he absolutely had to, because he didn't want to loose frodo just like how he lost thorin...
