You & I Aren’t That Different!
Whether in an alternate timeline or some miracle recovery from abstraction, Caine creates an NPC based on a character from an anime movie the players watched recently for Jax to have a shoulder to cry on. As much as he hates to admit it, Jax can’t help but relate to a certain blue devil about pushing others away with a bad attitude to avoid feeling hurt, suffering from loneliness. As such, Beezle (or Akuma-kun if you’re going for the Japanese version), can’t help calling the rabbitoid out for his behavior and rejecting Pomni, or Ribbit for that matter, as well as him claiming that he enjoys watching others suffer; that he’s the funny bad guy and that being as simple as that.
I had this kind of idea in mind for a while ever since “The Amazing Digital Circus” got more deep and emotional. A lot of people (including Gooseworx herself) have been comparing him and his voice to Raggedy Andy from the 1977 surreal animated film, “Raggedy Ann & Andy: A Musical Adventure”. But I see him more akin to Beezle’s initial bratty personality when he first meets Unico. If anything, I see Jax as a dark reflection of what Beezle would’ve become if he never met Unico and stayed a grumpy hermit…
When I got to drawing Jax sitting and sulking, I was afraid it wouldn’t look right. But somehow, I ended up getting his pose looking okay, if only I shaded his chest a bit to make it look like he’s leaning forward… On the other hand, when I got to coloring the patterns on his bed, even with the image I used for reference, I had to improvise.
All in all, I think this turned out great in the end, as usual.
Jax is from “The Amazing Digital Circus”, which belongs to Glitch Productions and Gooseworx
And Akuma-kun/Beezle is from “Unico”/“The Fantastic Adventures of Unico”, which belongs to Madhouse Studios, Sanrio, and Osamu Tezuka
This is more of just me showcasing characters I simp for but BAAAAAAH here we go
my toxic personality trait is taking the unyielding stance of support for obscure media i’ve barely interacted with the second it gets hate, binging it all over again, and making it my entire personality for however long the endorphins last
There are more characters but I couldn't fit them. Want an explanation for some of them ? The answer is I Said So
