Alancha Beets Kick-Off w/ Can Tanca, BeeGee and İlker Aksungar
Son zamanlarda birçok farklı mekanda müzik çaldım ancak benim için en farklısı geçtiğimiz Cumartesi gecesi Alancha’nın yeni oluşumu Alancha Beets oldu. Alancha şefi Kemal Demirasal ile adını duyurmuş çok farklı lezzetleri bir arada barındıran bir restaurant. Beets adını verdikleri bar kısmında haftasonları Birol Giray’ın müzik direktörlüğünde DJ’lere yer verecekler. İlk haftanın konukları Can Tanca, Birol Giray ve bendim. Haftaiçi elimize ulaşan flyer tasarımları adeta ne kadar özenli çalışıldığının bir göstergesiydi. Aynı şekilde müzik çaldığım süre boyunca da misafirperverliklerini hiç eksik etmediler. Her zaman çaldığım müziklerden biraz daha farklı bir set oluşturdum. Vocal ve jazzy house ağırlıklı setim beni DJ’liğe başladığım ilk yıllara götürdü ve o zamanlardan parçalara yer verdim. Bu tarz setlerimin içerisinde mutlaka çaldığım Fish Go Deep Ft. Tracey K-Battery Man şarkısı yıllar geçsede en çok etkiyi yaratan parça oldu. Nerede çalarsam çalayım mutlaka en az bir kişi gelip parçanın ismini soruyor. Gecenin ardından önce indigo’ya uğradım. Alican henüz bitirmiş ve Re.You çalıyordu. Müzik bir gece öncesindeki Robosonic’e göre çok daha iyiydi. Sonrasında FG’nin yeni projesi olan FG Digital lansmanı için GarajIstanbul’a geçtik. Daniel Bortz zaten sevdiğim ve takip ettiğim bir DJ ancak Nerdworking visualları ve görselleri gerçekten çok çok iyiydi. Ülkemizde dünya standartlarında iyi işlerin yapılması çok sevindirici. Cuma günü yakın arkadaşım Atacan Şafak, Cumartesi günü ise ben Nişantaşı’nın yeni mekanı Gallia’da olacağız.
I have been performing in various venues lately but for me the most different one turned out to be Alancha's new formation; Alancha Beets. Alancha with its well-known chef Kemal Demirasal has become to be known as the melting pot for different type of delicious food. Where they call Beets-is composed of a bar with a great view- will be hosting different DJ's whom will be chosen according to Birol Giray's taste. For the first week opening the Dj's were me, Can Tanca and Birol Giray. During the week we had the carefully worked flyers delivered to us was a showcase of a thoroughly work. Likewise all the time that i was playing they didn't hold back on hospitality. This time i was experimental. I have put together a different set than my usual ones. Focusing on vocal and jazzy house took me to my first years of DJing. Like always i played never-getting-old-song Fish Go Deep Ft.Tracey K-Battery Man only to see that has the biggest impact in the crowd. Regardless of the time and the place it is always the most sought after song. After i was done I stopped by at Indigo. Alican was just finished and Re.You was taking over. Performance was much better compared to last night's Robosonic. Afterwards for FG's new project FG Digital launch we paid a visit to Garajİstanbul. I am already a fan of Daniel Bortz but Nerdworking visuals and images were pretty marvellous. I am so happy to see good things are happening in my home country with world standards as well. I will be playing at Nişantaşı's new place Gallia on Saturday and so will be my close friend, Atacan Şafak, on Friday.
