Rich Arc AU: Word gets out about just how Rich Jaune is. How do people react. Feel free to involve the news. Also, a rumor gets started that he got into beacon because of his money. React to that.
"This is Radel Hu reporting live from the public bullhead transport station where the personal lawyer of the Arc family is heading after handing over a lawsuit personally to Jacques Schnee! He should be walking in at any moment. Hopefully he'll have the time to answer a few questions before boarding the Arc family Bullhead. We don't know much about the situation, only that the lawyer Maximus Bright made a personal visit to the Schnee residence with lawsuit papers in his briefcase, as well as made a public announcement about the Arc's lawsuit against the SDC to a local Mantle- There he is!"
The camera shook briefly as the cameraman turned to stay focused on the reporter as he, and many other nearby reporters, rushed towards the suited up dog faunus who just entered the terminal.
"Mr. Bright! Mr. Bright! What caused this sudden legal action from the Arc family?"
"Do you think you actually have a chance in this case?!"
"What is there to say about how this will affect the relationship between the Schnee heiress and the youngest Arc?!"
"Did Jaune Arc buy his way into Beacon Academy?!"
Max didn't break his stride and forced the reports to part for him. That didn't stop them from following him though. He didn't flinch as microphones were shoved in front of him, nor did he show any sign of being bothered by the cameras. He then spoke loudly over all their questions. "The Arcs are issuing this lawsuit against the SDC and its owner Jacques Schnee over the issue of some long outstanding debts the SDC has yet to repay on investments the Arcs made by providing starting capital for the SDC. In addition to that, the Arc family knows of many violations of labor laws, safety codes, and many instances of individuals suffering injury and harm due to their negligence and disregard. Finally, it has come to their attention that there have been many injustices performed towards faunus-kind due to racial bigotry and bias. We have strong faith in our side of the case. And Jaune Arc's enrollment in Beacon Academy was not influenced by any financial means. The Arc family donates a fair amount to all training academies, and that donation amount shall not change due to Mr. Arc's enrollment and will always remain fair. For any other questions, no comment."
Max didn't even give the reporters a second glance and just sped up a little bit. He didn't have much farther to go until he reached the Arc's bullhead, but he still quickly walked the rest of the way. He let out a small sigh as the reporters eventually had to hold back at one of the gates and Max walked the rest of the way to the gold and white Bullhead in peace and quiet. Well, as quiet as a Bullhead yard can be. He swiftly ascended the deployed stairs and boarded the transport.
Max nodded to the pilot, which got him a grinning smile in return, and plopped down in one of the cushioned seats with a long sigh of relief.
"Did it go well?"
Max glanced over at his long time friend Alex sitting in another cushioned chair diagonally from him, casually reading a book with a glass of wine next to him. Seeing how nonchalant his friend was actually helped ease some of the tension Max had been stressing under since they landed in Atlas. "Yes, it went well. The SDC will be seeing us in court three weeks from now."
"Wonderful." Alex closed book after bookmarking the page and took a sip from his wine. He set his wineglass down and looked over to his friend, a small twinkle in his eyes and a smile tugging upwards on the corner of his lips. "That's when the real fun will begin."
...
Across the world of Remnant, thousands of people saw the headline "Arc family sues SDC". Then those thousands of people spread the word to everyone they knew!
Those that knew Jaune, such as his fellow Beacons students, were shocked to find out how much Jaune's family was worth. And those closest to him were a tad hurt that they had to find out through a newspaper article rather than from Jaune himself. They knew money wasn't something brought up easily in conversation, and that it shouldn't be in the first place really. But still, finding out someone you know personally is actually worth more than double that of one of the richest families on the planet wasn't something you'd expect to see on the news or in the paper on a Tuesday morning.
Rich Arc AU: A brief planning session followed by writing up the lawsuit against Jacque.
Weiss was in absolute awe after seeing the sheer knowledge the Arc's lawyer, a Maximus Bright, had stored in his head.
Jaune had left to go spend time with some of his sisters as he really didn't understand how the laws and court systems worked. She however had stayed behind with Mr. Bright and Alexander Arc to offer them any evidence she had and to help draft the lawsuit the Arcs were planning on suing her father with, but she didn't really do much else. Other than sharing her evidence and relaying some of her father's misdeeds with the SDC, she quickly found out that Mr. Bright had pretty much any law you could think of memorized, as well as any exceptions, court cases, and even the reason for the laws. Weiss was just shocked by how he quickly noted everything down, and when she doubted him and looked it up herself, it always proved him to be correct.
"Mr. Bright?"
The dog faunus stopped his discussion with the elder Arc and looked up from his papers over to Weiss, his eyes meeting hers over the rims of his reading glasses. "Yes Ms. Schnee?"
"You two and your formalities."
Paying no mind to the muttered comment from Alexander, Weiss voiced her question. "I've just been curious, ever since we've started this process, you've shown incredible knowledge of Atlas AND Vale's legal systems. I was just curious, how do you possibly have all of it memorized?"
Max took off his glasses and looked at her, a ghost of a small on his lips. The real smile was in his eyes. "That's because, Ms. Schnee, when someone like me," at this, the dog ears on Maximus's head flopped a bit, "is in a profession as respected and important as being an attorney, people tend to have... biases that make them underestimate my abilities. People, even some faunus I was representing, would write me and the case off before I'd even open my mouth in court or even during consultations."
Weiss's eyes widened. Despite everything she had seen during her childhood, at Beacon, and even with what they were trying to do here today, that thought never crossed her mind.
Max continued to explain. "So, to prove those biases wrong, I decided that I would be the best attorney that I could be. I read up on and memorized countless laws, court cases, requirements, loopholes, etcetera etcetera." Max rolled his hand in front of him, showing that he could continue but wanted to move on. "Soon enough, people stopped seeing the ears on my head and instead started to see how I performed in the courtroom."
Alexander smiled himself now to match the one on Max's face. "And what a fine attorney you are Max!"
"I-I apologize, I shouldn't have pried, but thank you for sharing this with me. Just by seeing how much faith Alexander has in you has reassured me that you are excellent at your job."
"Nothing to apologize for Ms. Schnee, you were simply curious and curiosity is best left satisfied. Now then," Max put his glasses back on, showing he was ready to get back to work. "You say that your father knew of some of the issues with the elevators in the SDC mines in Vacuo?"
Follow up on Dinner date, Weiss has told the Arcs she is the granddaughter of Nicholas and the SDC was the company he founded using their money. What is the fallout. (Take your time making this. Keep the arcs looking modest, like they don't show they have money. and if they bring lawyers, they are all faunus)
Rich Arcs AU first official ask (kind of)!
Weiss Schnee wasn’t as prepared for what awaited her when she joined Jaune to meet his family as she thought she was. It was only fair that she visited his family after he had met hers a week ago with a.... unexpected outcome. Nonetheless, she’d flown with Jaune to his hometown, and she was looking forward to seeing the grandiose manor that housed his family. As they walked through the town, with Jaune carrying most of the luggage (as he insisted), from the Bullhead docks, she kept looking around every street and road. She didn’t see any building that looked like it fit the rich family that Jaune had, but she did notice multiple people smiling and waving at Jaune or shouting greetings to them, which Jaune returned in kind.
After a few minutes of walking, Jaune finally said, “There it is.” Weiss had been busy watching the people they passed she completely forgot she was trying to find his house. She looked to where Jaune was looking and finally saw the Arc family manor.
If it could really be called that at least.
Jaune’s home could be considered a mansion she guessed, but only in size really as it was close in size to one of their mansion’s wings. It also didn’t look anything like her family’s mansion. The building looked like it was mixed with a cabin or a farmhouse. It was an even mix of wood and stone with even windows all along the second floor, but not the sleek white stone of the Schnee mansion. There were no added wings to the main building, no towers attached, a small wooden fence was the only thing resembling property walls. There wasn’t lavished landscaping along the way up the dirt path to the front door, only small flowers, bushes, and young trees along the side of it.
They didn’t even have a fountain anywhere! Only a little bubbling bird bath off to the side of their front lawn.
In her opinion, the homestead was large and had a lot of land around it, but it didn’t look like anything she thought people as rich as Jaune’s family would be living in. Had he actually lied to her and her family?
‘What am I thinking! Jaune wouldn’t lie about this! Or.... couldn’t lie about it.’ It was no secret Jaune was a poor liar. ‘I’m incredibly rude thinking like this.’ She didn’t let what she was thinking show on her face. She just kept a small smile up as Jaune led her up the path.
Jaune knocked several times and the door flew open.
“JAUNE!”
Before Weiss registered what was happening, several figures had rushed outside and enveloped Jaune in a large hug with cries of “Welcome home!” and “You’re back!”. Jaune was just awkwardly laughing as they all hugged him
Weiss just stood off to the side and watched the group of mostly blonde women hug her boyfriend. After some time though, Jaune pulled himself away and introduced them to Weiss. They all stared at her, then...
One yelled. “He brought his girlfriend!”
And like that they swarmed her next. All of them firing off questions at her. She couldn’t even understand any of them before three more were asked. Thankfully Jaune helped her out.
“Hey, can we come inside now? We’ve been traveling all weekend and I wanna finally introduce Weiss to the family.”
The girls relented and led them both inside the house. Weiss had to admit the interior was well decorated, but still not like the grand halls she was used to. She didn’t have time to dwell on that though since she was so introduced to the rest of the Arc family.
The ENTIRE Arc family. Or at least the ones at the house at that time.
There were DOZENS of Arc family members. And all of them were all too happy to meet Weiss, their little Jaune’s girlfriend who he always talks about in his letters and calls. Weiss spent hours meeting all different kinds of people. A lot of them also happened to be golden blond like Jaune, so she got confused somewhat quickly.
Weiss had been trained from an early age how to deal with vast crowds and meeting large groups of people at once. All that training was definitely put to the test in the Arc house.
Thankfully they were all super nice though and welcomed her with open arms. Some of Jaune’s sisters and aunts did give her a bit of a hard time, but quickly stopped and said they were just joking.
After three straight hours of constantly meeting and talking to every family member Jaune introduced to her, it was time for dinner. A dinner that the cooks in the Arc family pulled no stops for since Weiss was coming that day. It was a large spread at a massive dinner table. Weiss was actually surprised at this point because it was actually almost as big as her own family’s dining table. Unlike her family’s though, its size was actually being put to good use. Every inch of the table was being used pretty much. Even with all the space though, not every family member was able to sit down and some had to sit at some folding tables set up next to it.
That didn’t seem to bother any of them though. They still got included in the conversation and were ignored at all. Weiss had her own seat set for her right next to Jaune. It was foreign to her, such a big group of people eating dinner together at once. Sure at Beacon she ate in the mess hall with all the other students, but these people were all part of the same family!
And the food! Weiss was so amazed she almost forgot to respond to some of Jaune’s family as they were conversing! It was so delicious! Her family had some of the best cooks on Remnant to cook for them on a regular basis, and she’d never wanted to just keep eating it like she did with the food the Arcs prepared! She must have had almost three helpings before she actually couldn’t eat anymore. When she finished, Weiss profusely praised all the members involved with the cooking.
Several hours later and the Arc manor was finally calming down as the sun set. Weiss was in the Arc house’s relatively large family room, sitting in a very comfortable armchair with a cup of homemade, de-cafe coffee in her hands. She sipped it and was thankful to finally having some quiet time since arriving. With her was Jaune’s grandparents and parents. Jaune had been pulled away by his younger siblings and cousins to play.
He didn’t want to leave Weiss by herself on her first day in the house, but she told him not to worry. She didn’t mind if he went off to have fun with them and she was already feeling very comfortable around his family.
She was actually surprised how genuine she meant that.
Now it was just the five of them, the smallest amount of people to be in one room since she arrived. While it was nice to just relax, Weiss needed to get something off her mind that she’d been thinking about all day.
She turned to look at Jaune’s grandfather. “Excuse me, Mr. Alexander?”
Jaune’s grandfather chuckled. She was so formal. “Just Alexander will be fine dear, but what is it?”
Weiss took a deep breath and continued. “A week ago, Jaune brought something to my family’s attention. He said you’ve made several investments in the past.”
“That is correct. We have done so many times. And a lot of them have been quite beneficial.”
Weiss grimaced a little. “Well... Jaune mentioned a specific investment you made once. To a man by the name Nicholas?”
“Aaaaah.” Alexander looked down at his drink. “Yes I remember him. He was one of the first investments Elizabeth and I made. He went off to Atlas and started a Dust company, but passed away before ever fulfilling his side of the agreement.”
Weiss noticed there wasn’t any malice in what he said. “Yes... well... that company he started was the Schnee Dust Company. He was my grandfather.” The other four occupants in the room looked at her without a word. Since they didn’t speak, she continued. “My father was given the company and has still not paid the debts of my grandfather. I wish to rectify that.”
Alexander immediately started guffawing when Weiss finished. His wife Elizabeth was hiding her own smile behind her hand. Alexander coughed lightly to get himself to stop laughing. He put his drink down on an end table and looked back at Weiss, a smile on his face and kindness in his eyes. “Ha ha Weiss, we know all about who he was and what he did, but don’t care about that debt anymore. We let it go when your grandfather passed. It is in the past for us.”
Elizabeth joined in, still smiling herself. “We don’t think it’s right to put someone else’s debts on another’s shoulders. And it was so long ago, so do not fret about it.”
Weiss couldn’t help but look down at her hands and think, ‘If only my father thought the same thing...’ Despite them both trying to wave it off, Weiss pursued the issue. “Yes, Jaune had mentioned that as well. However, I do not think it is okay. My father... My father has devastated the lives of many people, faunus and humans alike. Not always directly, but he and by extension the SDC have had a hand in it. I want this to be the last blemish on the Schnee Dust Company and my family.”
Alexander looked quizzically at the white haired girl in front of him. He chewed the inside of his lips a little as he thought. His son Nicholas spoke before he did though. “So, what is it you’re asking of us Weiss? To take your family’s money? No offence, but deals like that are never so cut and dry.”
Weiss looked up at Jaune’s father. “It is true that isn’t exactly what I want. I do wish to pay your family back what it deserves, I do have something to ask of you as well.” Weiss took a deep breath and continued with what she knew would be the hard part. “I don’t want my father to create any more harm with the SDC. Ever since I was made heiress, I’ve planned and dreamed about cleaning up the mess my father was making of it. And ever since I started thinking that, I had to just standby and watch as my father dig the hole even deeper. Cruel working conditions, outrageous prices on our products, monopolizing so much that any other kind Dust providers stood no chance. Everything has been adding up for years, and finding out about this deal they backed out of and how my father acted towards Jaune was the last straw. I want your help to take control of the SDC away from my father.”
The Arcs in the room stared wide eyed at Weiss as she gave her passionate speech with a fiery determination in her icy blue eyes. Alexander sat back in his own chair after she finished, processing what she was asking. “And what makes you think we’ll be able to help you with that?”
“I used to believe no one could, but then Jaune told me about all of you. If anyone could help me remove my father from the SDC, it’s the Arc family. You don’t only dwarf the SDC in money, but also connections and public opinion.”
All the Arc couldn’t deny that, even though it wasn’t hard to have a higher public opinion than the SDC, or Jacques specifically.
“Excuse me dear, but you said something about how your father acted towards my son.” Weiss turned to Jaune’s mother Juniper. “How exactly did her ‘act’?”
Weiss didn’t beat around the bush. “My father threatened to bury Jaune and by extension all of you or to ruin your livelihoods to get him to break up with me and leave. He wasn’t very subtle about it.”
Juniper pursed her lips for a second before speaking. “Welp, I’m sold.”
Elizabeth and Nicholas chimed in at the same time. “Same here.” “So and I.”
Alexander pulled out his scroll and started flipping through it. “As am I. Alright then, Weiss.” He glanced up at the slightly surprised Weiss. “One more question. If we do get your father out of the SDC, what happens then?”
Weiss had to think for a minute. She hadn’t decided on exactly what to do if they got that far, though she had some ideas. “I... I would hope my mother would take over again. At least until Whitely or I were ready to take over.”
“So you won’t move in right away to take control of the SDC yourself?”
Weiss shook her head quickly. “No, no not at all! I’m still far too young! I don’t have enough experience and I still have stuff I want to do before I handle all that responsibility. In my own life... and with Jaune.” They’d only been dating a few months, she didn’t want to strain their relationship with her having to deal with running a company this soon.
Alexander looked hard at her for any lies or deception. He was happy to see none. “Alright then.” He pressed a button on his scroll and held it out flat in front of him. Weiss heard the ringing loud and clear, so she knew it was on speaker. Soon the ringing stopped with the sound of someone answering the call.
“Hello? Alex?” A male voice came from the scroll.
“Hey Maxie! How are you doing?” Alexander’s tone made it obvious he was talking to a good friend.
“Oh I’m doing pretty well. Just got home from work actually. Paz is here too.” A distant ‘Hey Alex!’ was heard from the scroll. “He says hey.”
“Haha tell him I return his hey. Speaking of your work Max, I’m calling to ask something.”
“What is it?”
“I’m here with my family and my grandson’s girlfriend is visiting. We’ve been talking about quite the business proposition.”
“Oh okay. You want my help going over a contract again?”
“Not quite. Jaune’s girlfriend’s name is Weiss Schnee.”
There was the briefest second of silence from the scroll before Max answered. “That’s great Alex. Glad the kid snagged such a catch. No offence or anything, but why are you telling me this?”
“Well Weiss has asked the Arc family for their help and support in a certain matter. A matter pertaining to her father Jacques Schnee.”
“Dust damn it Alex can you stop being so enigmatic and just tell me?!”
“How would you like to take Jacques Schnee to court and get the control of the SDC out of his hands, 100% legally?” Alexander couldn’t help but smirk. He just wanted to mess around with his old friend. He had a pretty good idea what his answer would be before he even called.
Silence. Dead silence for ten long seconds before Max spoke up again. “Are you serious right now?” Max’s voice was completely serious now. He had switched to his professional voice.
“Yup. Weiss was the one to bring it up too. So how does your schedule look?”
“I will be there to talk this over in person in a week.” There was no room for change in that appointment, given the tone in Max’s voice.
“Great! We’ll see you then Maxie! Feel free to bring Paz with you!”
“I’ll ask if he wants to. See you then Alex.”
Weiss heard the other line hang up and Alexander chuckled lightly before putting his scroll away. Elizabeth and Nicholas were also lightly laughing as he did so. He looked to Weiss who was silent during the short phone call. “Well there you go Ms. Schnee. I hope you’re free next week. This was your idea after all.”
“O-of course Mr. Alexander.” A look from the older man made Weiss change her response. “I-I mean Alexander.” Hearing her call the man by his name with no formality made the rest of the Arcs smile slightly.
“Good. You might want to spend as much of this next week with Jaune,” Alexander’s deep blue eyes locked with Weiss’s paler ones. There was a glint of excitement in them. "Because next week, we start planning on how to take Jacques Schnee out of the SDC.”
In regards To the abandoned arc Au I’d like to see how jaunes family reacted to his uncle dumping him some where and if possible how they reacted once Jaune got to Argus with his team
(I decided to focus on keeping this more as an origin post. I can answer the “meeting in Argus” part in another ask though.)
(Angst and dark themes ahead. You have been warned)
Nicholas looked down at the bundled up blanket in his arms as he stood in a somewhat crowded hospital room. His wonderful wife was resting after she finally finished giving birth their eighth child, who was also their first son!
When Nicholas and Juniper found they were expecting a boy, they nearly fainted from both joy and relief. Raising eight girls would have been an even bigger nightmare.
But after a long night, as the clock just ticked past 11:00 P.M., Juniper had finally given birth to their newest child Jaune.
Sadly, it wasn’t a picture perfect moment. Their poor boy….he had been born without his left arm. In the place where the limp was supposed to be was only a fleshy lump.
But that didn’t mean a damn thing to Nicholas, Juniper, any of his daughters, or Jaune’s grandparents. He was their family, no matter what he looked like, be it deformity or disability, they loved him and they would always love him. They all looked on with love as Nicholas held his child.
He looked down at the small face of the newborn in his arms. His first son…he finally had a son. He loved his daughters and wouldn’t trade them for the world, but he’d always dreamed of having a boy of his own. He knew Juniper did as well. When they got the news that this time their child was gonna be a boy, they felt over the moon!
Now, it was bittersweet. Their son had a hard life ahead of him with only one arm…. but maybe when he was older they could get him a prosthetic. Sure they were really expensive, but he could just take a few extra mission every now and then to save up for it! Though, Juniper might not like it. She was suppose to be retired, and she had been begging him since their first child to only take small, easy missions close to their home town if they needed any help to cover any unforeseen expenses. They had investments around their hometown for regular income.
A hand being placed on his shoulder drew Nicholas out of his overthinking mentality. Nicholas looked away from his son to trace the arm back to his older brother, David. They had the same build, both being broad shouldered and well muscled upper body overall. Though where Nicholas had a short, rough beard that was well trimmed, David had no facial hair whatsoever. His hair was also buzzed to contrast Nicholas’s shoulder length golden locks.
David spoke before Nicholas could ask anything. “Can I hold him?”
Nicholas smiled warmly as he nodded lightly. “Sure thing brother. Hold out your arms.”
David did just that and Nicholas carefully transferred Jaune’s sleeping form over into his brother’s arms. David looked like he was holding a glass bomb that was ready to blow at any second, but Nicholas only found that funny because that’s how he always looked whenever he held any of their children as babies. Somethings just never change.
David didn’t have much time to look uncomfortable with Jaune though before the Arc family was interrupted by a nurse opening the door and stepping inside. “Excuse me, but we need to have your newborn moved to the maternity ward to be monitored for the night. I can take him there if you’d wish.”
“No need.” David was the one who answered. “I’ll take him there.”
Nicholas tried to intervene, thinking it was his duty to take his son. “Dav, you don’t-”
“Stay with your wife Nick. She’s had a long night and needs her rest, and you need a break. I’ll get him where he needs to go.”
Nicholas looked his brother in the eyes before looking back at his disheveled wife in her hospital bed. She had two of their daughters laying down with her as they slumbered, but her full attention was on Nicholas and David. She gave her husband a slight, reassuring nod to show her agreement. Nicholas looked back to his brother and passed on the nod. “Okay.”
David turned around and offered a somewhat distracted, “I’ll be back.” and moved towards the nurse.
“Okay then, follow me sir.” Together, the two of them left the room, the door quietly clicking shut behind them.
Little did they know the nightmare that was about to happen.
After about 30 minutes of either silence or quiet small talk, the door opened again. The nurse from before came in. After she did a quick survey of the room, she started to become frantic. “T-that man. The one that followed me out of the room. Have you seen him?”
Nicholas brow furrowed in confusion. “My brother David? Not since he left with you. Why?”
“O-oh dear.” Without another word, the nurse hurriedly walked out of the room once again.
Silence permeated the room. No one spoke a word as they all tried to understand what just happened. Before anyone came to a conclusion, the nurse returned through the open door, this time being accompanied by a handful of doctors and security staff.
A man stepped forward. He was wearing a uniform and a utility belt so Nicholas knew this was a security guard. His graying hair showed that he was much older than the other guards. In a very serious voice, he asked, “Everyone, are you all absolutely certain that none of you have not seen the man that left with your child?”
Juniper’s tired voice spoke up from her bed. “Wha-? What’s going on?”
“The man that left with your newborn. Have you certainly not seen him since he left this room?”
“Are you talking about David?”
The nurse from before spoke up, “Yes, your brother, the one you gave your son to to follow me to the maternity ward.”
“N-no… we haven’t seen him since he left with you.”
The nurse rounded to face an older looking doctor. “Just like I said!”
“Michelle, calm down.”
Nicholas’s father, Alexander Arc, seemed have had enough being in the dark. “Will anyone please explain what the dust is going on?!”
The guard was silent for a minute. Then he spoke in a flat tone, “We believe that your brother possibly le-”
Before the man could finish, another person walked into the room. It was David. He walked through the open door of the hospital room and paid no mind to all the sets of eyes that turned to look at him as he sat down in one of the cushioned chairs. Things weren’t silent for long as the same guard that had been speaking started giving out orders. “Michelle, go check the maternity ward again, Rick, go with her, radio me what you find.” The nurse and a security guard ran out of the room. “Vicky, go check the security cameras. If you see him leaving on any of them, radio in where.” A female security guard nodded and took off herself. The older man, now only accompanied by one other security guard, turned towards David. “Alright sir, where is he?”
David didn’t say a word. He just kept looking down at the floor.
So instead, Nicholas spoke up. “Okay, for the last time. What is going on!?”
The security guard glared at David before turning to look at Nicholas. “Michelle, the nurse from before, told us that when these two reached the maternity ward, she’d just finished putting the ankle tag on your boy when she turned around for moment. She claims that when she turned, he was gone and the baby was nowhere to be found.”
“So what? Your saving my brother abducted my son?” That’s stupid, he’s right here. Tell him Dav.”
David once again said nothing.
The radio on the guard’s shoulder ‘chhrk’d to life and a voice called through it. “Sir. The child in nowhere in the maternity ward.”
The guard leaned in towards his radio and pressed a button. “Roger.” The guard sent a David once again. “Tell us where the kid is. Now.”
Nicholas had enough of this. He stepped between his brother and the guard, holding up his hands towards both of them. “Okay, look. I’m sure this is all just a mistake. My brother wouldn’t do a thing to hurt my children. Tell him Dav.” Nicholas got no response. That prompted him to turn his head to face his silent brother. “David?”
David looked up finally, meeting his younger brother’s gaze. Then his lips parted and he finally spoke up.
What he said horrified everyone in the room. “I did what I had to.”
…
…
Screams of surprise came from the people in the hospital hallway and lobby area as a wall exploded in a shower dust and drywall. Two bodies came sailing through the cloud of dust, one was tackling the other to the ground. Several dull ‘thuds’ were heard from the settling cloud. As the dust thinned, they saw exactly what was happening.
Nicholas was kneeling on top of David, his fists were raining down into his older brother’s face. Blood sprayed as his nose shattered. Aura be damned, Nicholas’s punched harder than a Ursa Major.
David tried to fight back, throwing is own punch up at Nicholas. Nicholas caught the punch by David’s wrist. Without a second though, Nicholas hammered his free hand as a fist into his elbow, bending it inward and breaking it with an unforgivable ‘CRACK’.
David screamed in pain as his arm fell limply to his side. Nicholas slammed his hand down on the shattered elbow, getting another scream from his ‘brother’. With a look of absolute rage, he roared in the bleeding man’s bloodied face. “WHERE IS MY SON YOU BASTARD!?! WHAT DID YOU DO WITH HIM!?!”
Through what was probably a broken jaw, a concussion, and pool of blood forming in his mouth, David sputtered out, “B-ba-ac…g-ga-targ.”
“WHERE!?!”
David had to swallow the blood pooling in mouth to speak again. “G-g-ta-age.”
Garage. Nicholas didn’t waste anytime jumping to his feet, accidentally knocking down the few people that had been trying to pull him off the man. Nicholas bolted off down the hallway.
As Nicholas’s thunderous footsteps grew quieter and quieter. Another sound was heard by the crowd that had gathered to see what all the commotion was.
Juniper Arc sobbed openly into her hands. Her mother-in-law quickly stepped over and hugged the distraught mother into her shoulder. She wailed on as everyone watched.
Everyone except Alexander Arc. The old man walked forward towards his one....son. The man was now sitting up, but being detained by the security guards that had been in their room. The blood was no longer in his mouth and was instead running down his chin onto his shirt. “What have you done David...”
David looked up at his father. The cold stare that was staring him down was something he’d feared since he was a child. With his Aura finally kicking in to repair the damage Nicholas had done, he was able to speak a bit more clearly. “W-what needed to be done. That disfigured thing would only have been a disgrace to the Arc family.”
Alexander’s glare didn’t change. “No....the only disgrace to the family here is you. And you better pray Nicholas finds his son.”
...
The door into the hospital’s parking garage blew open as Nicholas slammed through it. “JAAAAAUNE!” He new his son couldn’t answer him, but he hoped for something. A cry, a gurgle, a cough, a sneeze. Anything that could help him find his son.
Nicholas sprinted through the entire garage, looking around every corner and under everything. He kept calling out his name and asked everyone he saw, but no one had seen a child missing his left arm. Nicholas reached the last floor of the garage, and he hoped and prayed his boy would be here.
But he wasn’t. His son wasn’t here.
Nicholas fell to one knee on the concrete. Tears had started flowing sometime during his search, and they only flowed harder now. His son was gone. Somewhere out in this cold world all by himself.
Nicholas let out one last “JAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUNE!!” before his voice cracked and he broke down, weeping into his hands.
Jaune Arc, his son who he’d only had the chance to hold for a few measly minutes, was gone...
(This is probably the darkest thing I’ve ever written, but it was a nice change of pace.)
Nicolas and Jupiner arc are so happy to meet their son girlfriend and friend, he had talked allot about her. She is a little rude and agresive but .... what? She it’s not his girlfriend... then ...who....you mean the awkward redhead girl that just stares at them when they are kissing.. we tough that was his friend
"Oh no," Pyrrha bowed lightly. "I am Jaune's girlfriend. And this here is Arslan. She is my better and Mistress."
