When I made @alicelouisewaters crust from “The Art of Simple Food” AND my tomatoes have finally started ripening, I knew what I wanted to try - I have THOUSANDS of recipes….I have books, cookbooks, three-ring binder, recipe boxes, and many more…but I remembered I had a tomato tart recipe I cut out of a magazine - probably 25 years ago. Here is my take: I didn’t have ricotta cheese so I threw together tofu, feta, and some mozzarella. If you are looking for a fabulous brunch - this is Delish. @alicelouisewaters has the best crust! The butter is a little much for my GI system - however, the smell of my kitchen while this baked - AMAZING. THE LAST RECIPE! Since I started on my quest to cook every recipe in Alice Waters’ “The Art of Simple Food” Volumes I and II in 2014, I have learned a lot and loved spending intentional time with my food and cooking. Roasted Leg of Lamb with Spring Herbs was the last recipe to complete and I made it yesterday for some dear (fully vaccinated) friends to celebrate our one-year + one month anniversary. Keeping the blog going to document more yummy food, but so proud to close this project!

why do what you do? there’s the future like this guy. i don’t typically post photographs of my family but there’s this guy. His mom posted this photograph on Facebook which I’ve slightly adjusted. He’s in our community garden with his “ganma” working away, harvesting, watering, pulling weeds and he loves it. Eating fava beans just harvested, still warm from the sun.
