I Alloran a gilf?
Well?
Is Alloran a GILF?
Yes
No
god allorans such a good fucking character. just, by the way so you dont forget, this entire series is about war and the things people do in it. heres a random asshole veteran. thousand yard stare and everything. hes weird and defensive and out of touch and hes a blue centaur alien who loves killing vast amounts of people and ranting about shit and wanting to be murdered. A+ character. there should be one of these in everything.
The Andalites
the andalites
how ii see them anyways😭
Gafinilan was ment to be blue I couldn't turn him back😭
re: Andalite gender roles: Alloran didn't like that now warriors are expected to be scientists and artists as well. And if you look at Ax and all the times he has to say <We studied this in school, but I wasn't paying attention>... tbh even if he wasn't consciously going "that's *girl stuff*" there could still be unaddressed sexism making Weird Space Science not seem all that interesting.
Oh definitely.
It's not like those biases go away overnight. Culturally there are probably many older warriors like Alloran with that attitude. Other adults that he would interact with on a day to day bases that probably made it clear that as a boy the only subjects that he really needed to focus on were the boy ones. Just do well enough in school to pass the others and he would be fine.
Maybe if Elfangor had been good at the art and sciences beyond a base level Ax would have tried harder, since he had a certain amount of hero-worship for his older brother that might have been able to bypass some of that cultural stuff. But every time we hear about Elfangor from other Andalites its always about his fighting skills. His traditional warrior skills; not his teach skills.
And well, Ax has a lot of growing that he is doing on Earth. There is a chance that because his human friends and his current Prince keep asking him for teach knowledge that he doesn't have that he might have new respect for the subject when he gets home.
More (old) Animorphs fanart. I was going through an art phase where I was combining traditionally colored art with digital backgrounds. Looking back on it 10+ years later, it's cringe...
In hindsight, I should have done the mortrons traditionally. I'm proud of the patchwork sky, tho...
