Headcanons Part 4

This is just some miscellaneous head canons. There may or may not be a part 5. Happy birthday, Yahiko and Konan!

Yahiko and Konan thought it was a fun coincidence that they have the same birthday, and maybe a sign that they were meant to be together. They would always try to get a cake that day, either by stealing or buying when they were older.

Yahiko liked to fish, and everyone in the Akatsuki enjoyed eating what he caught. Even later on, fresh-cooked fish was nostalgic for Nagato and Konan.

Konan and Nagato designed both versions of the Akatsuki robes (the ones prw-yahiko's death as well as the iconic ones with the clouds.) Nagato was the one to create the policy of the group all wearing nail polish after Yahiko died.

After Yahiko died, Nagato became reclusive (with his real body.) Only a handful of people knew what he actually looked like, anyone else only saw the Paths of Pain. Partly because of internalized ableism, partly shame for letting Yahiko die, partly because he didn't want to be seen as weak.
