Otome Questionnaire - Amnesia: Memories

Continuing with the ~most popular otoge~, here’s my answers for Amnesia ^^ (feel free to use my questionnaire! Tag me so I can see your answers!) (spoilers for all routes ofc)

Game: Amnesia: Memories Platform you played it on: Mobile Rating of game (1= I hated it, 5=It’s my favorite): 4.3 (While playing this game, I was legitimately obsessed. And I truly do love this game. It loses points only because...the more games I play, it becomes more forgettable...which...is a little funny, given the content of the game??) Favorite aspect of game (the LIs, the plot, the MC, etc): The beautiful CGs, the suspense, THE DOKIDOKI Least favorite aspect of game (the plot, the format, the endings, etc): MCs blank state-ness, while appropriate given the situation, can be pretty irritating Rating of MC (1=not for me, 5=my hero!): 2 (I mean this MC truly has no personality. And I know that’s the point so I’m fine with it. But also I can’t really have an opinion on her cause she like...isn’t...anything?)  Your #1 LI (who you ship with...yourself): Shin, no quesion Is your #1 LI your usual type? 100% very much yes sir yes Best LI for the MC (who you ship with MC, if it’s not a total self-insert): Shin (though an argument can be made for Ukyo, of course...) Most attractive LI: Shin (like in this game, there is no question for me. While the art is beautiful, Shin is the only LI that I *personally* find physically attractive) Best route for plot: Ukyo, if we’re talking actually having any concept of what the plot of the game actually is (lol). Shin (if we’re talking the story arc I actually enjoyed the most) LI you wish was your friend: I think...Ikki? Like as long as I’m not getting murdered on a daily basis by his fans, I actually think he’d be a fun guy to hang out with. Though Toma’s the “big brother type,” which LOL hopefully no big brother is like Toma, Ikki is actually a very sweet big brother type in some of the routes  Favorite non-LI character: Orion ofc. The worst part of all the good ends is that he’s gone LI/route you didn’t enjoy: OK so I legit enjoyed all the routes in this game. I feel the need here to state my opinion on Toma which is this: I personally enjoy yandere routes for the thrill and the kinkiness. An intense yandere like Toma is never going to be my #1 guy, and I don’t really consider these routes ~romantic~ per se, but as a fictional thing that is totally separate from real life, it’s like half-horror, half-sexy, and...what can I say? I enjoy it. Anyway, my least favorite route here is probably Ikki, cause the playboy thing really isn’t for me. LI who surprised you (you thought you wouldn’t like them but you did or vice versa): Kent! I was dreading his route because I don’t like his look and I wanted to straight up punch him in other routes, but his route actually turned out to have the absolute best romantic storyline imo. LIs you ship with each other: Again, I don’t really know who people ship in this game?? Like I’m not really in the fandom?? But if I had to come up with one I’d say KentXIkki. That sounds...lovely. Best romantic moment: Ahhhh Kent’s good end for sure. Saddest/most heartbreaking moment: Like most of Ukyo’s route? Several of his bad ends, def his normal end, and tbh even parts of his good end made me sad! But good-sad. Bittersweet romance sad. Sexiest moment: Ohhh uh. The game doesn’t really get that sexy tbh, so I just have a lot of little moments that made my heart beat a lil faster. The drunk call from Ikki, definitely. The part where you’re practicing being a maid for Shin and he gets all blushy. Handcuffing Ukyo is nice. And, uh...if you’re into it, there’s just really something about the cage... Scariest moment: OK I added this question just for this game cause it frankly scared the shit out of me. And I have a lot. The bad end on Shin’s route with Toma (you know the one). The bad end on Ukyo’s route with Toma (you...know the one lol). Toma’s own bad end with the chains etc (again I just know you KNOW the one). Oh and also Ikki’s bad end where you’re hospitalized and he says he’ll break the ones who broke you... Damn this game is scary (if you’re me and everything scares you, anyway~) Favorite ending (can be a good OR a bad end!): Favorite for romance: Kent’s good end. Favorite for finally feeling like I understand wtf is going on: Ukyo’s good end. Least favorite ending (can also be a good OR a bad end): My least favorite good end was definitely Toma’s. Felt forced af and I much preferred the bad and normal ends. I also don’t love some of the bad ends with Ukyo throughout all the routes...that shit gets old fast. A scene/moment you want to see (ex. something you didn’t get to see fleshed-out but wish you could): I’d love to see some of the fandiscs get localized some day~ I really wanted MORE out of Shin’s good end (both romantically and, like...sexually...ahaha)

These answers make me sound like a horny little shit but I suppose I am. Next up...my favorite OELVN!

You know the movie 50 first dates? What if mc was like that but it was every 11 days instead of every day?

Okay, so instead of the Reset Theory, the MC is just going and reliving every day from the first moment that they met the RFA all the way up to the day of the party. Now, this has some kind of angst potential because it implies that there was an accident of sorts that caused the RFA to loop those days in particular. This could get dark pretty fast depending on how far you wanted to take it, but it could also be pretty light-hearted if that was your intention. 

Or, they’re reliving a certain number of days from their life and then their brain just resets. Amnesia and conditions like this can differ in people for a number of reasons, so there’s really no strict rule you’d have to follow if you were going to write this out. This MC, if they’re used to this already, would have plenty of tricks and tips to surviving this mental cycle, but if the first time that they go through this is with the RFA, then it’s going to be hard. 

It’s a matter of trying to sort out details that don’t match up and struggling to remember new things when your mind resets. I imagine whomever this MC winds up with would be dedicated to helping them through this no matter how long it lasts. It would just be a bit of shock for them to wake up one morning and the MC loses time that was almost everything about their relationship. 

It wouldn’t quite be like that movie though, because while the family can repeat the day over and over for Lucy, it’s not like the RFA can keep living the crisis at the apartment over and over again.
