About "Hoppers" by Daniel Chong
An animated film that’s delightfully quirky. It’s a real treat to watch and gives you such a positive boost that you’ll want to carry that energy through the rest of the day. But at the same time, it’s a film with one of the strangest plots ever produced by Pixar. No, really. What would you think of the film if I described this scene: “A man is driving in a car with beavers who are holding him hostage and giving him orders via Google Translate, when suddenly a flock of seagulls flies in, intent on killing the man, and to do so, they dive into the water and pull out a huge shark that is supposed to eat the man”? Exactly.
A lovely film. Not a groundbreaking masterpiece, but still thoroughly enjoyable, and one that teaches you something worthwhile.
