So I'm the mood for angst. Really key my heart out if you will. How would the original organization members (1-6) react to their SO dying to protect them? Headcanons are fine just cause I know it's a lot. Please and thank you 💕

Xemnas doesn’t even react as you lay dying. You always made the choice to stick around knowing he didn’t truly care for you, and now you had gone and sacrificed yourself for him. He didn’t ask you to do that, but it seemed a fitting end for a pawn to die for the king.

Xigbar cares, god does he care, but he doesn’t show it. He can’t show that sort of weakness in front of anyone, not even you. He’s got too much at stake. But his heart aches as he watches the life slip from your eyes, begging him to help you and he can’t.

Xaldin doesn’t know what to do. He knew nothing good could come from being involved with a regular human, but he went and did it anyway and now you had gone and gotten your stupid self killed and he was alone. He always said love was a waste and as he watched the blood flow from your split skin, he couldn’t help but blame himself.

Vexen was in near hysterics, working feverishly to stitch you up, begging you not to leave him, too many people had already left him, he couldn’t handle it if you died too. He wasn’t even aware of it when you stopped breathing, never told you how much you meant to him, how much he loved you, and now it didn’t matter.

Lexaeus was already a man of so few words, but now it felt like he  might never speak again. He knelt down, cradling your broken body in his arms as gently as he could, but he could still feel the way you pulled away from him in pain. Even if he could find the will to speak, he wouldn’t know what to say anyway. It was his fault you had gotten hurt, and now he would have to live with that guilt.

Zexion was filled with cold dread, staring at you with apathy born from confusion. There was no way you could die, not now, not after he had taken the risk and let you in. What was he supposed to do? He knelt down beside you, listening to your ragged breaths, and brushed the blood soaked hair from your face, leaving behind a smear of crimson. He could see the life slowly slipping from your eyes, but couldn’t find the words he needed to beg you to stay.

idk that these are as heart-wrenching as you were hoping for but i didn’t want to go all out hardcore like i do with the usual scenarios. it would definitely have gotten out of hand lol

Ok, we have the Organization’s Pokémon teams. Now how about our main trio and the people of Radiant Garden?

(I’m gonna do BBS-versions for the Radiant Garden group, simply because I like the idea of baby Ienzo with Pokémon xD And because, logically, KH3-versions would keep several Pokémon from their Organization days)

Sora

He isn’t really drawn to a specific kind of Pokémon; he loves them all!

He especially loves playing with them, and his team kind of reflects that; they’re all pretty cheerful Pokémon

Team: Cutiefly, Furret, Spoink, Trubbish, Brionne

He can’t really pick a favorite Legendary, he pretty much likes them all!

Riku

He’s always liked Pokémon that have a certain “reliable” vibe to them

Of course, he knows that all Pokémon are reliable if you care for them, but there still are some that are more known for it than others

And since he enjoys training with them a lot, quite a few of them have evolved already

Team: Arcanine, Umbreon, Dragonair

There are several Legendaries he likes, but his favorite would be Silvally

Kairi

Kairi never really thought about what kind of Pokémon team she might want; she figured that she’d one day find one that was just right

(You know those stories of humans basically getting adopted by their cat? Something like that)

And she wasn’t really wrong; one day, she found a cardboard box with three Eevees and promptly adopted all of them. By now, they’ve evolved

Team: Leafeon, Jolteon, Espeon

It’s hard for her to pick just one favorite Legendary, but if she had to, she’d pick Shaymin

Ansem the Wise

He has a lot of Pokémon that theoretically belong to him, but aren’t part of his team

Kinda comes with being king; he runs something between a research facility, a wildlife Pokémon rehabilitation center, and an animal shelter. And the Pokémon in there are officially his, though he doesn’t see them as such

As for his own team, he doesn’t have much of a preference

Team: Alolan Ninetails, Aurorus, Gardevoir, Beautifly, Lycanroc (Dusk form), Persian

Rather than one favorite Legendary, his favorites are a pair, Latias and Latios

Apprentice Xehanort

Pokémon in general are incredibly fascinating for him

Honestly, if the whole Nobody thing didn’t happen, he’d have become the next Professor Oak. If he could, he’d have one of every species.

Obviously that’s not feasible though

He very much likes the ones with… I don’t want to say “special powers”, as that applies to all of them kinda, but the ones with powers that can’t be explained as simple attacks

(Or rather, the ones said to have them - Whether the Pokédex can be trusted is up for debate in general)

Team: Arcanine, Dragonair, Mimikyu, Shedinja

He’s fascinated by almost all Legendaries, but his favorite would be Arceus

Braig

He’s got a thing for Pokémon resembling birds of prey

That, or mischief makers

Team: Staraptor, Skarmory, Mandibuzz, Fearow, Talonflame, Zoroark

His two favorite Legendaries (If he doesn’t want to pick just one, you really can’t make him) are Zekrom and Solgaleo

Dilan

Even before he became a Nobody, he liked physically impressive Pokémon

He wasn’t too focused on them, though; and he also really liked Flying types in general

Team: Pidgeot, Tyranitar, Feraligatr, Houndoom, Ninetails, Mudbray

His favorite Legendary is Tornadus

Even

He’s fascinated by Pokémon with a big connection to civilization; obviously the ones that were created by humans, but also the ones that definitely were influenced by them

As such, he tends to have them in his team to help with his research

Team: Porygon, Voltorb, Ditto

While not his favorite Legendary per se, he’s very interested in Mewtwo. Someone make sure this man never gets Mew DNA

Aeleus

He doesn’t really have a favorite kind of Pokémon; at least, not one he could pinpoint if you ask

He does, however, have a slight tendency towards Pokémon that may start out small or weak, but evolve to a big, physically impressive Pokémon

Team: Kangaskhan, Gyarados, Hakamo-o, Volcarona, Grotle, Deino

His favorite Legendary is Zygarde

Ienzo

He only has one Pokémon, which was a gift from the other apprentices and Ansem (Of course they all help him take care of it!)

There was a lot of discussion about what kind of Pokémon would be best for little Ienzo, actually. Porygon, since it’s science related? Rockruff, as they make great and loyal companions? A Pokémon that can sense emotions, like Sylveon or Cutiefly? Something fluffy and cuddly like Furret?

They ended up deciding on Ralts, and the two very quickly bond and are never seen apart from one another

His favorite Legendary is Cosmog

Isa

He keeps his Pokémon more as companions than as a battle-team; so it’s not a full team, either

He’s taken a liking to dog-like Pokémon, though his first and favorite Pokémon is his Eevee (Not Eevees in general, but this specific one)

Team: Eevee, Lillipup, Electrike, Litten (The last one being the sister of Lea’s Torracat)

The spot as his favorite Legendary is tied between Xerneas and Lugia

Lea

Even as a kid, he liked uh. Literally playing with fire.

As such, he’s always been drawn to fire type Pokémon

If his parents allowed it, he’d probably have at least 50 of them. Sadly, they don’t, so he has to settle for a smaller team

Team: Torracat, Chimchar, Bagon

His favorite Legendary is Groudon
