ienzo tends to be rather quiet, unless he's with someone he's comfortable with or he's talking about something he's passionate about!

it's cute to listen to him rambling about all of his nerdy stuff, especially because he's so cheerful when he talks! there's always a smile on his lips
you usually just love to listen to him talk, but there are the few times when you feel playful and want to fluster your boyfriend a little! after all, he's in his own little world when he's rambling, but you know how to snap him out of it!
ienzo is already a little shy when it comes to physical affection, but when he doesn't even see it coming, his reaction to it is even cuter!
so when you suddenly press a kiss onto his cheek or lips as he yaps about his interests, he often freezes for a moment, before realizing what just happened
he might even pout a little and tell you to warn him next time you suddenly kiss him, but seeing him so flustered and caught off guard is too cute, so you never do plan on warning him next time…

“Not a cloud in the sky, huh?” You murmur, the wicker picnic basket grasped tightly in your hand, the texture of the wood leaving indents against your skin. The wind blows gently against your face as you remember how this date would come to be.
You stood against the doorway of radiant garden’s castle, standing firm and tall as the wind blew through your hair. Steps clicked across the floor, approaching you, but at the last minute would always turn and walk away. This always caused you to ponder who it was, and what they wanted from you.
But eventually, you would get your answer. Baby-blue hair frames his face, a stern look plastered onto it. Ienzo, clad in his lab coat, slowly begins to approach you, his mouth moving in silent determination.
You notice the determined look in his eyes as well, and it takes you a moment to realize that’s because he’s looking at you instead of down at a book like usual. What could have his attention so completely that he’s not reading? And why is it bringing him towards you? You start to panic a little, wondering if you did something to make him mad and he’s coming to lecture you? What could you have done? You don’t ever talk to him, it’s mostly just momentary glances on the few occasions he comes by.
You’re about to speak, blurt out something indecipherable, until you notice mumbles beginning to come out of his mouth. Slowly, they become louder and you can begin to put together what he’s saying. “H-Hey, I know w-we don’t know each other well, but w-would you want to g-go on a picnic date with me?”
You’re speechless at first, which just makes him more nervous, and now he’s not looking at you anymore. You have to try and process what’s happened. Ienzo wants to go on a picnic with you? “Why?” You ask, before realizing that sounds too rude. So you specify with what you really want to know. “Why me?”
“Because you’re attractive, funny, smart…and every time that I passed you by, something intrigued me about you. I felt drawn to you for some reason. I don’t know if it was fate or some other unexplained scientific force but—“
Stopping him mid sentence, you grasp his hand tightly. “You don’t need to explain the scientific theory of attraction to me, I’d love to go on a date with you. Especially a picnic date.” Looking up at him, you smile, and his mouth that was blabbering so much a minute ago, curls up into a small smile, blush coating his cheeks.
Weeks went by as the two of you tried to set up the perfect day for a date. Busy schedules, poor weather, and even required events kept disrupting your plan for the perfect get together. But finally, the stars align, and you both have a day off, under a sunny and warm cloudless sky.
Reminiscing over, you were back in the present. Picnic basket gripped in your hands and leaving indents on you, commenting on the lack of clouds. There had been plenty of awkward silence in which to think about all of that, since neither you or Ienzo can think of much else to say. You’re here like you’d wanted, but now you have no idea what to do. So you both just eat and glanced at each other now and then.
Finally, you sigh and turn to look at him. The words you want to say almost die on your lips as he looks so handsome right now, sat as he was with the sun coming down around him through the leaves of the tree you’re under. But it also inspires you to press on. “Ienzo… since you asked me out, I’ve spent some time thinking about you, and how I feel towards you. You gave me your answers for why you wanted to have this lunch date, so now I want you to know mine”.
“Ienzo, you are so smart that it’s unbelievable. Any time someone has a problem, you’re able to help them find a solution, and you’re always so happy while doing it, no matter what it is. You’re constantly reading and trying to keep up with the latest scientific studies and research, and it’s really inspiring. And you’re always so nice to people, even those that have been not so nice to you in the past. I think it’s admirable, considering I tend to hold grudges.”
“What kind of people do you hold grudges against? Is it mostly people who you interact with as a guard?” Ienzo ponders, looking you straight in the eye as you speak. “Well, besides the organization, there are quite a few people who can be rude; but for now, they’ll remain nameless.”
Ienzo chuckles softly, shaking his head. “Well, I won’t push it. We’ve all got our secrets.” Sighing, you lean back against the tree, staring up at the sky. “Y’know, it’s nice that you have moments of joy like this. Now that you’re not a nobody anymore.” Ienzo nods, looking at you with a gentle smile. “I like feeling emotions again. Especially when they have to do with you.”
You nod, looking down and feel a subtle blush creep across your face. In a moment of bravery, you scoot your hand closer to his, until the soft skin of his palm intertwines with yours. Moments pass as you slowly look back up, only to find your eyes connect.
And before you know it, you can feel his hot breath against you as you both lean in for a tender kiss. It’s like the ones you’ve always heard in fairy tales and romance novels. Soft and tender, causing warmth to blossom up into the recesses of your heart. Emotions that say how much he means to you without a single word spoken.

You simply "took care" of them and made sure Ienzo was alone before making your move.

(A/N) I'm alive, a shock really. Been busy with a lot of stuff stares at magazine production and editor stuff. Anyways, yeah I wrote this at midnight yesterday, or well today, when I should have been sleeping. Saw a lack of content in the KH reader insert side of things and decided to help provide food. Gonna try to post more but no promises. It's pretty disjointed since I wrote this after using up most of my brain power during the day, but I hope you all enjoy. There is more below cut just didn't want to clutter feed. Considering opening a Ko-fi at some point because college is expensive and my medical and family stuff recently has made it harder to get a job.
Ienzo is not a morning person and would much rather just stay in bed with you, well if you get him in bed in the first place.
Instead, you often find him asleep in a study or library with notes and other documents right in front of him.
Notorious sleep talker and one that you can hold a conversation with.
“What do you want to eat?” Ienzo says. You shift in bed to face him. “I don’t know. Waffles?” You open your eyes to find that his are shut tight as he sleeps. His daily worries never seemed to leave his mind, not even in sleep. “Waffles sound good,” he mumbles before falling silent.
While he often dreams about his work, sometimes it’s memories of what happened haunt him but a gentle nudge to wake him up along with some tea help calm his nerves.
While shy about this, he would love to read some of the books he read as a kid with you before falling asleep. Books were always very important to him and being able to share that with you would mean the world to him.
He has a lot of difficulty sleeping and sometimes will watch as your chest rises and falls whispering things that he couldn’t admit to you.
He naturally runs a bit cold so he’s often bundled tight and will steal the blankets from you. After several tug of war sessions, you simply start keeping an additional blanket by your side of the bed.
Summary: You're the local Potion Master and Enchanter for Radiant Garden, after meeting and getting to know one of the local scientists, you've managed to fall head over heals for him. Little did you know your love for him would be your downfall, as an illness takes a hold of you causing you to cough up lilac petals. You could easily cure it by telling Ienzo how you feel, but you can't help but notice the new face around Radiant Garden and he seems very close to Ienzo.
Rating: G but its got some swearing.
A/N: I know this chapter is short, but I found the flow to work better by cutting it where I cut it. This fic is going to be pretty angst, but with hurt comfort and I swear there is a happy ending. This fic also involves the hanahaki disease of the reader so have fun!

You couldn’t help the grin that spread across your face, “Ienzo, how are you?” you had a huge crush on him. Ever since you met him two years ago when Radiant Garden was coming back to life, you both became such good close friends. When you met him he was so fragile and emotionally unstable, he told you why and what had happened to him when he was a child, and how he had ended up in the organization. But, you convinced him to talk to someone, and you did your best to support him.
It was about a year into your friendship that you realized that you were interested in him, and from there it escalated and you found yourself in love with this man. But he had never shown interest in dating anyone, so you never tried to pursue it. You always hoped that one day he would make the first move, or at least he would find someone and you would be able to move on, but he was always around. You both spent so much time together, and the more he healed and worked on his guilt and pain, the more his personality started to shine through. So here you were, hopelessly in love with this wonderful science boy.
“I’m doing fine, but I’m hungry and I wanted to see if you would accompany me to get some lunch in town,” He was always so polite, and he’s so handsome. How could you say no.
“Where are we going?” you asked leaning over to set the potion in the crate with the others.
“I was in the mood for ramen, if I’m honest,” you could hear the rustling in the background of the video from his end.
“Ienzo,” you heard from the background, “You need to stop eating out all the time.”
Ienzo took in a deep breath and let it out before turning to Even, “Thank you for the advice, but I’m going to choose to ignore it.”
Even rolled his eyes at Ienzo, “Fine, but you need to think more about your health you know.”
“I’m going to continue my phone call now,” Ienzo concluded before turning back to the phone. “What do you think, [Y/N]?”
“Ramen sounds good to me, I’ll never get enough of it, honestly,” you could eat it everyday, “Want to meet there at like 12:15?”
“Sounds great,” he grinned, “I’ll see you then, oh could you bring some potions along? We need some for around the lab, I can send a list and bring the munny.”
“Abosolutely,” you gave him a thumbs up, “I’ll make sure to have it ready, I was just working on restocking so it should be no problem”
“Awesome, I’ll see you soon the-?” The new guy to Radiant Garden was in the frame throwing his arm around Ienzo’s shoulder.
You hadn’t realized that they had known each other, you noticed the new face a couple weeks ago, he must have been from a different world. You didn’t remember him from before the fall of Radiant Garden, maybe Ienzo met him before Radiant Garden was restored.
“Hey! Are you Y/N? The best friend?” He asked through the call, Ienzo gave a heavy sigh. It was nice that Ienzo talked about you.
“This is Myde, he’s living here in the castle for the time being,” Ienzo allowed him to wrap an arm around him. You were surprised, he didn’t let many people touch him, friendly or otherwise.
“Thanks for keeping this guy in check!” Myde pat his chest, Ienzo seemed fairly comfortable with him. “He’s not so great at taking care of himself.” Ienzo rolled his eyes at the comment.
“Oh yeah, I always make sure that he’s actually eating and taking breaks,” You laughed, Ienzo’s face was now a slight tint of pink. You didn’t know that Myde had worked in the castle with the others.
“You better get back to Even before he decides to make you a test subject,” Ienzo warned and at that Myde laughed awkwardly before running out of frame. “Sorry about that, I’m going to head out now so I’ll see you at the ramen place.”
“Of course,” you both said your goodbyes, and hung up. You decided to get a few more potions done before heading out, but you had this strange tickle in your throat. It started as a few coughs, you kept drinking water, but nothing seemed to help. “what the fuck?” you whispered to yourself.
Soon you were doubled over coughing, the longer it went on, the more terrified you were that you would suffocate. You felt something fluttering in your throat, your eyes were watering and you were on your knees on the floor unable to stand.
After what seemed like so long, you finally coughed up what ever was stuck in your throat. You looked down at your hand, flower petals? Lilac specifically. You glared at the lilac you had on your desk. You must have breathed in petals at one point and not noticed, well at least you were alive. You looked at the time, “shit!” You jumped up and quickly gathered the potions that Ienzo requested and quickly put up the closed sign and locked the door.
When you reached the Ramen shop Ienzo already got a table, “Sorry,” you immediately apologized, “I almost died.” you took a seat across from him.
He raised an eyebrow at you, “do you want to explain how you almost died?”
“I breathed in flower petals while I was working on potions,” you admitted. It was a bit embarrassing, but at least you had made it to the ramen shop, “which reminds me,” you placed the bag of potions on the table. “I believe these are for you.”
He laughed and took the potions, “I’m sorry for asking for something so deadly from you, but I appreciate your sacrifice for these potions,” he then reached into his own pocket and handed you a small bag, “Here is the compensation as well. But, do you feel better?”
“Yes,” you reached out and took the bag, your fingers brushing his, “I-I just didn’t realize what had happened and it hurt, but I think some warm ramen should do the trick.”
“Ramen makes most things better,” Ienzo agreed, when you two became friends, one of the first places you went to eat was this ramen shop. You had an idea that he associated the ramen shop and in turn, the actual bowl of ramen, with comfort and safety. It helped that the family that ran the shop were very kind and knew both of you by now. They always loved having you two in the shop.
“I have to agree with you,” You sighed happily settling into your seat, “it’s starting to get colder out, so I feel like we’re going to be coming here more often.”
“I will always agree to come here,” he grinned, “thank you for all of these potions though, Even will be very happy.”
“Glad to help,” you smiled.
“But I wonder if I should bring my supplies to your shop and keep watch on you.” You had to admit you were a little clumsy. He had witnessed quite a few unfortunate incidents; you tripping, you hitting your hips and arms off of railings and walls, as well as watching as things just dropped from your hands almost like a ghost had decided to knock it from your grip.
“I’ll live!” you waved him off, “I’ll keep you in mind when I almost die again.”
“You better!”

After lunch you went back to your shop and restocked, you were able to get caught up on all of your enchanting work, and the day was actually kind of slow. You were were thankful for it, and messaged Ienzo on your gummi phone.

“OH NO!” you yelled out loud, thankfully no one was in the store to hear you. But, how could he do this to you!? He was so fucking cute!

Unfortunately, the cough came back at full force, you were soon doubled over the counter coughing into your arm. You didn’t want anyone to walk in on you like this, so you did your best to shuffle into the back taking your phone with you just in case you needed to call for help. Your eyes were watering and tears streamed down your face, it was awful. But, soon you were able to cough up whatever was stuck in your throat.
You pulled away from your arm and look down to see more lilac petals, but you weren’t even near the lilac this time. Maybe this needed more research. But first, you decided to look up a potion for coughing fits. Even if it didn’t stop them completely, it should help make it less terrible to experience. You wiped off your face and got up from the floor. You checked to see if Ienzo had messaged you back.

You smiled down at your phone and closed out of the messenger and went to the counter to clean the surface. Didn’t want to spread germs.
Imagine Ienzo getting home late because of work and falling asleep on the couch, where you were reading a book, making you stop reading and running your fingers through his hair instead. The next morning you wake up and notice that he's gone but before looking around to find him you see that he put his lab coat around you to keep you warmer.
How about some headcanons on how Xigbar, Demyx, Axel, Even, and Ienzo would attempt to seduce their S/O?

Xigbar
Look he’s loud and proud about everything and that doesn’t stop with you-
Xig has already made his smitteness known to everyone- whether they wanted to know or not- and nothing is going to stop him from completely winning you over
Xigbar picks up on the little things he’s learned about you from completing missions with you and use that to his advantage-
Namely going to “check on you” during one of your missions with translates to “i’ll complete it so i can hang out with you and bluey (saix) is none-the-wiser”
He knows where to bring you and what to give to you and he will most definitely continue these improv dates until you are won over.
Even
Even does his best to learn about what you enjoy, but between researching and his limited patience, he doesn’t get far.
Instead, he goes a more traditional route of being a little more gentle with you and bringing you flowers at the end of the day.
Even if he doesn’t take much interest in what you find interesting, he won’t hesitate to listen to you talk about what you like or how your day has been.
He’s a really good listener for you even if he doesn’t have much patience with much else- he takes time to spend with you and that’s a lil part of his love language
Even makes sure that you’re comfortable with him and takes refuge in him which wins you over.
Ienzo
Ienzo would probably try to get as close as possible with you before attempting to date you- which includes un-official dates in the gardens and library.
He loves finding out what books, music, or other interest you might have before attempting to get you anything, but once he has you figured out he normally gifts you a book-
It’s a book he’s read before, something on one of your interests, before handing you the same copy of the book as a gift.
Ienzo is absolutely cheesy and will 100% put a little post-it note on the last page that says “meet me at the gardens?”
Ienzo just wants to spend time with you and once he does that it’s pretty much smooth sailing- just transitioning your friendship into a relationship.
Axel
Axel is just going to pop into your life and he will get to know you no matter what-
Tbh it can get a lil obnoxious but he just wants to know about you. Everything. He wants to know everything about you.
And then he’s going to unintentionally kidnap you to eat ice cream with him on the clock tower and keep you with him until he’s gotten through to you how much he likes you-
If it was up to him he would just kiss you until you fell in love but apparently that’s not how it works and it’s a massive inconvenience.
Axel just wants you to feel more free around him before he’s able to make you completely fall for him through small touches and loud actions.
Demyx
Guess what i’m bout to say-
He’s gonna write music for you- you are his muse after all and it’s something personal that he made and he wants you to understand that he doesn’t find inspiration in just anything that’s thrown at him.
Meaning he’s gonna pour every emotion that is technically not there into the song and play it for you when the two of you are in private.
Demyx likes being able to pull you into a quiet time with him where the two of you get to lay around and relax.
He is just his same goofy self with a lil bit of love- a perfect woo-ing combo
