ROCKET (Aragula) READY FOR ITS FIRST PICK

- These plants took 33 days to grow from seed.

- The seed was saved from last year's crop.

- 4 years ago I bought the initial Rocket seeds and have saved subsequent seed from my own crop each year since.

- Kilos of greens each year, virtually cost free.

- 4 years on this plant is now perfectly adapted to my conditions = high, reliable yield.

- It's not 'rocket science', just basic GMO free gardening. A good starter plant for the beginner gardener who's short on space or patience!

Rocket flowers. Must be one of my favourites.

My lunch: couscous salad (just throw some couscous into a salad you like and you’re done, mine consists of lettuce and rocket from the balcony, chives, semi sun dried tomato preserved in oil and rip-off feta cheese).

I would have liked to add mint, but the plant isn’t really growing yet so i figured i’d better wait.

Also it looked way better in real life than on the photo.

Had such a cheerful salad for dinner this evening.

Inside the greenhouse. Mainly growing salad crops now, watercress on the left, red loose leaf lettuce in the stainless steel oven dish, claytonia in the metal container next to the tyre and rocket in the tyre. In the front are two jalapeño plants, the tree is my avocado and the other two things are spider plants, which I hope will like growing in the greenhouse. Not on the photo are the strawberries which are under the camera.
