DEVIL MAY CRY 2 (2003) Missions 18: The hunter shall surpass all who came before him.
i just notice that the Despair Embodied arms when they metamorphosis intro swords looks like the Devil Sword Dante swords formation
(Rebellion and Devil Sword Dante DMC5 concept art)
what are you looking for in your reflection of despair?
I love how 95% of DMC2 is the video game equivalent of a lobotomy but out of nowhere shit gets real in the second phase of the final boss and suddenly it's a real Devil May Cry game. The controls are still ass unless you're playing as Trish but hey at least now you're against a boss that's challenging in the way a DMC boss should be, especially if you're playing on Dante Must Die mode (which I have because I'm a masochist :D)
There can be no better way of knowing In a world beyond controlling Are you gonna deny the savior In front of your eyes? Stare into the night
Daccapri Dante WIP I've been sitting on for a while
Okayyyy Dante and Daccapri. Where to fucking start? (oc notes undercut)
My Devil May Cry Season 2 Experience: Episode 7
-Okay, Vergil’s casual acceptance of Mundus’ manipulation did catch me off guard. Just a whole vibe of “I was planning on killing Mundus anyway, but thanks for the further motivation!” It’s pretty funny, but I’m not completely sure how I feel about it.
-I am a bit disappointed that the Arius/Argosax fusion doesn’t maintain the golden color ascetic. Just feels like it’s slowly moving away from the original game design the more he grows in power.
-Dante, I love that you are just fully on board with being in a relationship with Lady, but now is not the time.
-YO, DANTE RIDING THE ROCKET LIKE A SKATEBOARD, GOTTA LOVE IT!!!
-Tom, I love you dude, but you do not belong here. I accept that he’s a natural part of the plot of the episode and that Lady likely wouldn’t have made it to the roof without him, but I’m gonna be honest, I think I would’ve preferred if he just dipped after releasing Lady in the previous episode. Dude has gone through too much.
-I love how the entire fight with Arius/Argosax is a bit of a callback to Dante and Vergil’s fight against Arkham in DMC 3. We don’t exactly get any of the lines from those iconic cutscenes, but the vibes are there nonetheless.
-Okay, the Nelo Angelo form being a “restrained” Devil Trigger in a sense is actually fascinating as a concept. See, THIS is what I wanted if you’re gonna expand the power system of DMC, not what Episode 5 tried to do.
-DANTE SHOOTING THE JUKEBOX TO PLAY THE MUSIC FROM THAT ICONIC OPENING FIGHT FROM DMC 3, YES, HYPE HYPE HYPE HYPE HYPE-
-Okay, Lady telling Mattie not to curse “as bad” was freaking hilarious, not gonna lie. On a more serious note, I am at least curious as to what’s going to happen with Mattie from here on; whether she takes Lady’s warning to heart or if she follows Vergil’s ideology.
-Speaking of though, after watching a few cutscenes from DMC 2, I learned that Lucia’s name that Arius gave her was Chi… the same name as the head clone from this season. I genuinely hope that doesn’t mean anything and that the actual Lucia shows up later on down the line, because if that’s her and they did her like THIS, that gonna be something I’m genuinely upset about. Just because 97% of DMC 2 was terrible doesn’t give you the excuse to ruin the remaining 3%.
-Dante proposing the Godzilla Protocol to get Mundus and Argosax to fight each other is freaking epic as a concept, not gonna lie.
-Okay, Vergil not saying Jackpot along with Dante was a tad disappointing. I know that they were harkening back more to DMC 5 with that dialogue (which is fine, don’t get me wrong), but the pose was clearly referencing DMC 3, much like the majority of the fight. A small thing, but still.
-Lady’s not making it to that diner, is she? From what other characters have been saying, combined with her very obvious self-esteem issues, I’m expecting a heavy amount of angst because “yippee, more abandonment issues!”
-Overall, this episode was really good, but it was just a few small things that keep it from being great in my eyes.
When you make a DMC Family that has more issues than the Sparda Bloodline:
More info bellow the cut :3
if they made Devil May Cry 2 today, they'd make it woke. You'd be able to play as a dark-skinned woman, and the final boss would keep switching between male and female forms
