My aromantic identity was the easiest.

Shortly after learning what asexual was, I learned what aromantic was. And there was no hesitation at the time. That was me. I didn’t feel all that shit. It fit like a glove.

I’ve barely thought about my romantic identity since, other than thinking about being aromantic. There have been a few moments of “reassessment” but they have always resulted in my coming straight back to aromantic.

I hear so many stories about how hard it is to accept, but for me, being aromantic is and was a blessing. I’ve never hated being aromantic, never desired the “more”. I’m happy. And that’s all that matters maybe
