Anzu Hoshino, the protagonist from Romantic Killer (the anime series on Netflix) is heavily implied to be aromantic, imo. I have seen many people headcanon her as aroace, although there seem to be some polyamorous interpretations as well.
But yeah, I love Anzu and in my mind, she's 100% aro. I'm a little bit undecided about the sexuality part (I can potentially see her as a "just aro" person) but I think aroace fits her well.
(Sorry if I'm rambling too much)

do not worry, rambling in my asks was the point of the post, i love hearing about aspec headcanons
G'day gremlins!! I'm probably going to only post these things once per week now because I'm literally not writing enough to post once per day anymore sadly. My spare time has disappeared :'(. Anyway, here's an excerpt from what I wrote this week (about 2k words):
"A thought occurred to them, and they peered at faer suspiciously. “It’s nothing to do with you, is it?”
Hedari had leant forward to rest faer elbows on the table, and was frowning thoughtfully at the wood grain. “Not directly, no,” fae said slowly. Alyx looked at faer, waiting for an elaboration. When it became cleared fae wasn’t going to any time soon, they prompted faer a bit. “How do you mean, ‘not directly’?”"
Hedari and Alyx!!! I like these two, though I'm still not sure how I'm going to be writing their relationship. QPR with sexual elements, except idk how I'm going to communicate that well because I don't like writing smut. I'll figure it out :).

I am crafting a character.
They are partners, in an odd way, with a boy who is alloromantic. A boy who has been their childhood friend for years. They slept over at each other‘s houses. This character learned to play bass because the boy plays guitar, and they wanted them to play music together. The bassist and the guitarist shared an apartment and a bed.
They previously called this arrangement “friends with benefits”, but even they feel like it is not quite accurate. This arrangement is fully committed, and there is room for a degree of intimacy outside of the regular sex, such as cuddling when they are on their period, kissing on the couch, running baths, cooking for each other, but my character does not label these actions as “romantic” in their head. It is just something they do with their partner because they care.
Sometimes they think about having kids with him, two biological, they think, and one adopted because they were adopted. They think about jam sessions on the back porch of the bigger house they will one day have outside of Central London. They think about warm cocoa and cold rainy days and snuggles.
The boy loves them romantically, but he does not expect them to say it to him too. While he wants romantic love, he doesn’t need it from them. He is content to spend his life with them like this, and he has never and will never push. He has never talked about these feelings with them, in fear of pressuring them or coming off as thinking he is entitled to love, because he knows he is not.
And while sat cross-legged in the back of a van driving across the states as their band is on tour, the bassist looks over at the guitarist and realises, after fourteen years of closeness, that this is love.
They tell him they love him on stage. It is embarrassing and blissful and fans whoop in support and the corner of the guitarist’s eyes goes watery in joy. In a hotel room after the gig the bassist presses the guitarist down on the plush white bed, and between kisses spills from their mouth a litany of “I love you”.
He isn’t “love at first sight” or the person who they straight-away want to kiss under the moonlight. They never had a “crush” on him but this is the person they want. This is not how people usually experience romantic love, but it’s how they experience their love for him.
I wrote this character’s feelings from my own experience regarding love and my own real-life childhood friend.
Give your opinion, everybody. Do you think I could be demiromantic? Or greyromantic? Or in the arospec?
UPDATE : Answered in part! Eli the character seems to fit greyromantic. I’ll still have to figure it out for myself though.
(Fully alloro people can reblog but please don’t interact negatively. Do not tag as asexual because I am, and the character is, not ace. Please take my own comments on the post into consideration first before you say anything. Thank you!)
So, instead of studying physics as I was supposed to do, I spent the afternoon reading a webcomic about two guys falling in love (@sonofthegold this is totally your fault).
The good thing is the story is adorable and one of the mc is arospec!!!
Like he said how he has never fallen in love before, inclusive for fictional characters (which apparently happens). The guy is arospec and that makes me really happy, I hope that the author will draw the character saying/discovering that he is aro, that would be very nice. But it is not like this is necessary to make him actually arospec, this is already very clear.
hhhhhhhhh arospec julian bashir is good for the soul
just a little healthy arospecness for julian bashir
it'll be good for him
