A/N : Yall I don't really know if Elves even UNDERSTAND periods, but like, lets pretend they do
If your period blood soaked the sheets at night :
Awaking late at night, when the night sky was at its darkest, to a cold, and sticky sensation lingering on your upper thighs, and lower abdomen, you groaned as you saw the plush comforter ,heavy and soaked with blood, your undergarments taking the brunt of it all, glued sticky - slick to your skin.
Moving to get up, you felt mortification wash over you, seeing your lover stir at the damp and sticky stain that replaced your form.
Tears stinging your eyes, you moved swiftly to the bathroom door and locked it shut behind you, a feeling of dread knotting your stomach.
What would she think of you now? Would she be repulsed? Judge mental? Cold? Would she scream? Or simply leave you altogether?
Peeling the damp nightgown off you, you scrubbed at the tears falling down your cheeks with the back of your palm, before scrubbing at the bloody fabric with a bristled brush, the motion frantic and desperate to get it all off.
As her dark eyelashes fluttered open, the first thing she registered was that you were gone, and in your place was damp, bloody sheets, the crimson drying to a muddy brown.
Head whipping around for any sign of you, and finding none, Arwen got up, gently opening and closing the doors of the rooms around your shared suite, before hearing soft sobbing noises from instead the bathroom.
"Meleth?'', She called out softly with a hint of concern, not wanting to startle you, but also desperately wanting a way to help you, '' Are you alright ?''
She heard soft sniffling, the crash of a bucket falling down, and the abrupt stop of the falling stream of water, before she heard your voice, sounding surprising steady [ even to yourself ] , but with the slightest shake in it, something that not even an elf with the sharpest hearing could sense if they weren't paying attention, but of course - Arwen *was*,
*bullshit*, she thought, yet not wanting to make you feel even worse, by accusing you of lying, she chose a gentler approach, " Meleth, [ Love ], please open the door ''
However, when she heard no answer, she abruptly used elf magic [ Lowkey what Arwen would pull if she didn't have elf magic to help her out ]
to open the door, which swung open to reveal you, on your knees, in nothing but your bloody undergarments, desperately scrubbing your nightgown, face glistening with tears that you tried aggressively wiping away.
Why were you scrubbing blood, were you hurt, in pain? Injured-
*Oh*, she realised, puzzle pieces clicking into place, the bloodied sheets, the stain on her nightgown, the blood covering your inner thigh and underwear
Instantly, the concern and shock on her face melted away into a soft, almost helpless look at not being able to help the one she loves for such a simple thing.
A *period* - Contrary to popular belief, while it was uncommon and rare some elves did know small bits of knowledge about periods, however it was mostly about the biological part - How they contributed to reproduction, the anatomy, etc, and Arwen was one of them, wanting any knowledge she could get her hands on, but nothing could have prepared her for this exact situation.
Getting on her knees to be at the same level of height you were on, she gently embraced you from the front, her soft ,yet firm arms wrapped around you as you sobbed uncontrollably, melting into her cool touch, a soothing contrast compared to your almost burning skin, as she delicately tugged you closer as if you were made of glass, which you may as well been, shaking in her arms.
Pulling back gently to look at her, you realised that you'd gotten blood on her, from before and just now by hugging her, and was about to start sobbing again, before she gently shushed you and tugged you upwards to your feet.
Pressing her soft lips to the crown of your forehead, she gently, yet firmly pushed you into the shower, assuring you that you '' Need not worry about such small things ', and that she'd clean everything up, including herself.
Still skeptical, you tried arguing before she gave you the - Don't test me - Look and elegantly raised a single eyebrow before looking you up and down one singular time, and you knew you lost.
After showering, you slathered on lotion , put on a comfortable silk nightgown, and towel dried your hair, adding some oil and product to make it shiny, before padding towards your shared bedroom to find Arwen, perfectly clean, and folding the once bloody and damp, sheets, comforter, and nightgowns, before setting them aside and placing them inside the cupboards.
Taking in her perfect state, as well as the perfect room, AND freshly made sheets, you quickly SLID across the floor to the bathroom before opening it and seeing the bloody mess on the ivory tiled floor all clean.
Blinking once then twice, eyelashes fluttering, your eyebrows pinched together as confusion befell your face and Arwen stifled a giggle behind you, a cheeky smile - That you failed to notice in your confusion - appearing on her cheeks as you struggled to find out what was going on
Spoilers : She used Elf Magic, and yes - You never found out
Taking your hand gently, Arwen gently dragged a stuttering you along till you finally reached the plush bed, settling in beside you , and propping herself up on pillows as she gently pushed your head onto her chest to rest on, her gentle fingers absentmindly twirling your pretty hair that felt like silk ,between her fingers, lulling you into sleep, before your calm serene state brought her into her own slumber
