@staff @support much appreciation for all you do but listen

do yall not understand that a vast majority of your user base is either autistic af or otherwise hella neurotic for any number of reasons, and we have a profoundly hard time (neurologically emotionally or otherwise) processing change that is frivolous, unsolicited, and ineffectual.

I don't mean "we don't like it" or "we reserve the right to whine about it" I legitimately mean that significant changes in interface make it extremely difficult to take in and process any or all of the visual information and this renders the website effectively unusable.

Annoyed and overstimulated in unfamiliar surroundings is the exact opposite of the experience I'm looking for on this website.

Please be inclusive of all disabilities all neurotypes by changing it back or giving us the option to do so. Thanks so so much

being autistic is going through life constantly thinking “am i doing it right?” to yourself over and over as you attempt to imitate the Successful Behaviors of everyone around you but spoiler alert you are Not Doing It Right you are doing it slightly to the left, often not in a way that’s Off enough to draw a lot of attention, but Off enough that it sill marks you as Not Quite Right to everyone else...it’s like you are triggering the uncanny valley effect in everyone wherever you go. the things that come naturally to allistics instead require tons of careful thought and planning from you and you still won’t execute it successfully. like a kid who hasn’t quite learned how to write yet so their letters are all wonky. the teacher can look at the backwards R and tell what they were going for. but it still isn’t a proper R. so if you try really hard you might manage to imitate something Close to Normal if you put in a lot of work but ultimately you’ll never quite get it 100% right and you’ll wonder what exactly you did wrong but you’ll never be able to grasp whatever subtleties are necessary to answer that bc at the end of the day it’ll never be a natural or instinctive thing for you it will always be something constructed
