I am ECSTATIC to announce that Asher is engaged!
The NICE Garlic Lawn in Brindleton Bay was the setting of the HAPPY event!! After a meal filled with LOVE and LAUGHTER, Asher got down on one knee and asked Amelia to be his WIFE! She accepted, of course, and we all said a prayer for the strength of their relationship!
We’re SO HAPPY for them!! Now for the wedding planning- I can’t wait!!
We (Kaylie, Asher, and Dora) visited Asher’s girlfriend Amelia this past weekend!
It’s a drive (about FOUR hours round trip) but seeing these cute lovebirds together (with a CHAPERONE, of course- Amelia’s sister Camryn) makes it ALL worth it.
We stayed at a motel so we could attend Brindleton Baptist’s Sunday morning service. What a blessing it was to fellowship with a whole new group of Godly BELIEVERS!
P.S. Dora has been developing a SPECIAL friendship with someone recently 😉 He’s standing next to her in the 2nd row! If there’s any “updates” I’ll be SURE to let you know.
[AN: I’ve decided that Dora is going to be my heir, so she’s finally about to court! I think you’ll like her guy, he’s 1000 times better than Henry Bob 😂 I can’t wait for their wedding, I have so many ideas. (And yes, they’re still in the “special friendship” stage but let’s be honest that means they’re almost to the altar with the speed that fundies court at)]
I am so blessed to announce that Asher is COURTING!
Over the past few months, Asher has been getting to know a young woman named Amelia Churchill. While at family camp, he expressed an interest in making it official. After some discussion with both sets of parents, the Churchills decided to come back to Willow Creek with us so Asher could pop the question at his FAVORITE park!

Unfortunately, the Churchills live in Brindleton Bay so Asher and Amelia are currently doing long-distance. However, we’re planning another visit to Brindleton Bay next month!
Amelia is sweet as pie and always goes along with Asher’s ideas. Like him she LOVES to read, study the Bible, and play chess. As you know, we are PRAYERFUL that Asher gets to fulfill his dream of becoming a pastor one day. Amelia is SO supportive of that and she has just the right disposition for a pastor’s wife! Please pray for the LORD to bless them with a happily-ever-AFTER!

BIGGEST congratulations to my son Asher, who has completed his 2-year degree at Redemption University!! I am SO proud of his dedication to his work- he got an HONORS diploma in Language & Literature!!
While Asher originally wanted to become a pastor, he’s chosen a different path- Dora’s boyfriend, Aidan, was able to get him a VERY good job at the Christian publishing company where he works. It’s a wonderful way for him to continue his ministry- Asher doesn’t talk much, but he’s always had a way with words on paper!!! We’re expecting a proposal any day now- STAY tuned!!
Recently we have had so many BIRTHDAYS! It’s such a blessing to see our children grow up. First was Dora and Asher, who turned the big EIGHTEEN! They also graduated from our BIBLICAL homeschool program.
WE all LOVE Dora so much, especially her buddies. She has been a true servant in every way since she was little- she has always strived to serve her family, her church, and her GOD. I am constantly blown away by the KINDNESS and DEVOTION she has. While she has had to have her braces on for LONGER than expected, she has remained CHEERY and SWEET-spirited throughout it all! She would make a GREAT wife and is very eager to get married and build her own home.
There have been many young men over the past few years who have come by and ask her to court, and she has always done the RIGHT thing by referring them to Henry Bob first to be “vetted”. I can’t wait see WHERE the Lord will lead her- if there’s any interest among my my readers, please contact Henry Bob or me ;) Love you my Dora!! ❤️😘
What can I say about ASHER? He is the most wonderful role model, friend, and student. Everyone who knows him comments on his WISDOM and strong FAITH, and they are always RIGHT!! Asher has always loved Bible study, since he was ~10 has wanted to be a Pastor. He is now PURSUING that goal at Redemption College (the SAME college that Alex is currently attending- he’s almost done, though!) and I couldn’t be more proud of him. We are all so excited for his future.
I’ll dedicate another post to the next set of birthdays tomorrow!
We don’t have any more courtships right NOW, but we always ENCOURAGE our single older kids to write down what they want in a spouse. Obviously, Alex and Izzie already have their SPECIAL someone, and Imogen was out at class, so today only Dora, Asher and Axel made lists. I’m INCLUDING them down below because I found them so PRECIOUS!
Dora:
I’d like my husband to be Godly young man with whom I share the same convictions. I’d also like him to have a heart for children. I wouldn’t want to marry someone who didn’t want to open his heart to any blessings God gave us.
Asher:
I want a wife who: -Is modest -Is quiet (won’t be chatty or annoying) -Likes to read -Will study the Bible with me and loves God
Axel:
When I get married, I’ll be married to a girl who laughs at all my jokes and who is a good cook. She will love God and listen to what I say always.

Henry Bob and I are always praying that our kids will meet “The One” sooner rather than later because we KNOW the blessing of being in a Godly marriage sooner rather than later!
Time Skip And Recap
Hey, everyone! Author here. Today I don’t have a post. Instead, we’re doing a special time skip/recap! About 2 years have passed since the last post. (Though I’m sure Kaylie has continued to post about everything! 😆)
Henry Bob and Kaylie: now 39 and 45 years old. Recently celebrated their 20th anniversary and are pregnant with blessing no. 14. (Post to come about that)

Alex: Just turned 18 and graduated (post to come). Still courting Cayla Hoover, enrolled in Redemption College, working on the weekends to save up money. [AN: Adidas! Please ignore the defrauding woman in the background.]
Izzie: 17 years old, has a few suitors, spends a lot of time at home caring for the little ones. (Pictured with Annemarie)
Dora and Asher: 16+3 months. Dora works part time as a babysitter and does a lot of knitting for her plopsy shop. Asher reads the Bible and is a bit of a loner. No courtships for either of them.
Imogen: 15+6 months. Doing her own thing, continuing to smuggle books from the town’s public library. She’s best friends with Delia Delaney, who’s older brother Daniel (18) is a liberal Christian on the verge of leaving. Her friendship with Delia and by proxy Daniel have helped her realize that not all of the beliefs that she was raised with were correct. I think that right now she’s at a Jill Dillard level, but is opening her mind further. However, she absolutely knows that her family isn’t normal or very good, and she’s definitely one to keep an eye on. [Baby steps people, baby steps!]
Axel: 13 (no birthday post because I am LAZY): He’s just being a goofy teenager, always cracking (medium funny) jokes and spending a lot of time with his friends. He’s very confident in himself and is definitely a Lawson Bates type. [Side note, these child spacings are INSANE. Imagine having 6 under 5, that was Kaylie except Alex was technically 5, not under 5. Still! After Axel you can definitely see them space out more, thank goodness, with the exception of the Annemarie to triplets spacing]
Isaac & Ally G: 10, Immanuel: 8. They're all being children, nothing of note.
Annemarie: 4. Ellie, Addie + Isaiah: 3. Being toddlers, nothing of note.
Hello EVERYBODY!
Just wanted to give a update on the STATE of our family! Having 2 children, 3 toddlers, a baby AND another PRECIOUS blessing on the way does have it’s challenges, but we SOLDIER through for the LORD.
Lately Asher and Imogen have been acting VERY defiant and haven’t had joyful COUNTENANCES.
So we’ve had to have a lot of “TRAINING moments”
That is the life of a FAITHFUL follower of the LORD! But I always make sure to KEEP SWEET because I know that the Lord has given me these blessings for a REASON!
Also, we went to the CUTEST flea market last week! There were some women with IMMODEST dress, so I tasked Izzie with making sure her brother and father weren’t DEFRAUDED (that’s our term for when a woman dresses for HERSELF and not the Lord/her husband, and ANOTHER man sees it)
It did start to rain but that did NOT dampen our joyful spirits!
We bought a small table lamp but then got cold and hungry so we took the kids out for a special treat: a meal at Righteous Chicken! (made by @fundie-sims!)
We’re so GRATEFUL that we can eat a NOURISHING meal and support a company focused on BIBLCIAL values! No defrauding waitresses or supporting EVIL ABORTIONS when you go to Righteous Chicken!
I didn’t eat very much as my morning sickness has been especially bad this pregnancy. Of course I wouldn’t give it up for the WORLD! I just LOVE being pregnant and bringing PRECIOUS MIRACLES into the world. It’s such a joy to fill my hubby’s quiver for the LORD!
The kids loved playing on the play area and we had SUCH a wonderful time! [AN: They did, but I definitely didn’t. Why won’t they STAY in the damn highchairs? I need to lie down.]
I have to DASH, but stay tuned for the next post! There’s a few birthdays and a new blessing coming VERY soon!
[AN: Yes, Kaylie had a mini maternity shoot in a Christian fast food restaurant in the middle of the night (restaurants take FOREVER, ugh!) while ignoring her screaming, dirty, tired children. No, I am not joking. I think this outing cost me my sanity.]
