Karma’s Gonna Collect Your Debt Pt.1
So just so you all know, this is loosely based off of @nobodyfamousposts, Clash of Noir AU and a Miraculous Ladybug animatic by VickyLynne, titled Wolf In Sheep’s Clothing. (I highly recommend you watch it and like it, because its got a good plot based around the song.) However I only took a few ideas from them, and most of this is an original plot. I hope you all like, and don’t mind the grammar or spelling mistakes. I try my best to catch most of them.
Anyways on with the story.
It has been a year since the conniving witch, known as Lila Rossi, joined Marinette’s class. A year since she cornered her into the bathroom, threatening to turn everyone against Marinette, and all he could do was watch from within the ring. He had a front row seat to watch all the life was slowly drained from her eyes, as the whole class began to gang up on her all because of Lila’s lies.
Felix Agreste, a boy from a different time sequence. A time sequence where he existed, but all because of those stupid wishes, wishes he wished he never made. A wish to be free of the curse, and to have the one girl who cared about him to leave him alone. Only to be stuck within the ring with only Plagg as company.
This time was no different from the last few times, from what he could observe. The Lila girl, was telling the class that they should get together for an evening out. Of course the class of imbeciles quickly agreed, and Adrien mentioned how they should invite Marinette as well.
Now that got the class quiet.
He saw how the Rossi girl’s eyes downcast and shined with unshed tears.
“I don’t know Adrien, you know she doesn’t like me,” she said, before continuing, “In fact, I asked her to make me a dress for the dance that’s coming up, and do you want to know what she said?”
He rolled his eyes, the moment he heard her voice shook, letting them all know the water works where about to burst. The girls quickly huddled around her reassuringly, as the boys faces only became more serious than what they already were.
“What did she say,” Rose asked, with concern dripping in her voice.
“Sh-She said, ‘Why bother? My designs aren’t worth your time. You’ll just end making my dress look like it’s being worn by a pig. Especially, with that figure of yours,’” she quoted, letting out a few stutters to show she was holding in the tears, before she let them burst.
Felix could only scoff at the dramatic display of fake emotions, but his attention was quickly drawn to Marinette’s so called “best friend” as she storm out of the classroom to most likely talk “privately” to the ravenette.
He and Plagg could feel it would only be a matter of time before the once bright eyed girl, known as Marinette would finally have enough, and Adrien, the new wielder of the now uncursed ring, was not helping.
Marinette really wasn’t feeling up to go to school today from the moment she woke up. She just felt so much more anxious and tired than she usually did, but she had responsibilities that needed to be taken care, especially with being class representative. However, that didn’t mean she had to drag herself out from under the warm covers.
Tikki noticing her holders state advises her to stay home and take a much needed brake, but Marinette quickly reassures her that she’s fine.
Unknown to her, everything that could possibly go wrong would wrong.
First, on her way down from her room she completely missed the last step causing her to fall practically flat on her face. Then not shortly after leaving her parents bakery, some random stranger accidentally bumped into her, spilling his coffee on her top. Then upon just making her way up the steps to her class, Alya, the last person she wanted to see right now, was storming her way down the steps with a look Marinette knew so well by now.
“Here we go again,” Marinette thought, with a sigh.
She the weight upon her shoulders, become even heavier. She knew she wouldn’t be able to bottle up her emotions this time, and to be frank she didn’t want to be another one of Hawkmoth’s victims.
“Excuse me Alya,” she emotionlessly said, trying to go around the girl only for her to get in her way again.
Marirnette wasn’t even able to finish her sentence, as the self proclaimed reporter began to scold her. Saying how even though she was jealous, she should have stooped so low, as to destroying one’s self esteem. That even though she and Lila weren’t friends, it gave her no right to deny her of a dress for such a cruel excuse.
Unknown to the girl in glasses, she pulling Marinettes last straw.
She had so desperately tried to ignore Alya’s lecture, choosing to focus more on the pain she felt from her nail leaving deep crescent marks on the palms of her hands. She was trying to be the bigger person, because the last thing she needed was for the one person who was on her side to leave her. However, the more Alya talked, the more harder it became to hold back her anger.
The next thing she knew was that both her arms were moving meeting Alya’s shoulders, pushing the said girl down onto the steps. Marinette couldn’t help the feeling of satisfaction as the other girl let out a pained shout that immediately caused the whole class to come rushing out of the class room, only to be met with the sight of the ravenette staring down at st her (once) ombre haired friend.
“You really are a hypocrite, you know,” Marinette wet her lips before continuing, “I can’t believe you right now, and that goes for all of you!”
She felt Tikki’s concern and reassurance wash over her, but right now Marinette wanted to be selfish for once, and gave into all the pent up anger she bottle away for so long. At this moment there was nothing holding her back form letting loose. Fuck the fear of getting akumatized.
“What do you all take me for! Some of you have known me since way back! I would think you all would know what I am and am not capable of! I worked my butt off in supporting each and everyone of you in whatever way possible. Not to mention I bent over backwards to work in time for all your last minute favors, and this is how I am treated in return!
I guess all children throw away a toy that no longer entertains them, right? So, as soon as someone more interesting comes into the picture you all immediately forget me, the one who now sits alone in the back! The one who’s word you should have listened to! Mark my words one day, you will pay! YOU WILL PAY!”
She felt tears begin to form at the corner of her eyes, from all the anger and sadness she was feeling. Her glare on the class unrelenting.
Everyone was in total shock, all but to Felix and Plagg, who knew she would soon burst. So it was no surprise to them that the moment a black butterfly made contact with the girl’s purse, she gave into it’s temptation.
Everyone watched as the once sweet girl, become enveloped in what could be described as purple black clouds. When they had faded Marinette’s pale skin was replaced with cold porcelain, her dark hair cascading over her shoulders, a dark blue and black qipao top that had an open front mesh train, black pants and flats.
“I think it’s time you all became my toys to play with,” she said, coldly.
