I'm normal about them
I need someone with Skyrim modding capabilities to use their genius skills and make a player home for all the custom voiced followers we know and love. It would be fuckin huge to fit everyone - actually, it might end up being a small village instead of a single house. But can you imagine? A room for everyone decorated based on their individual personalities.
Sorry, my lifelong Dragon Age obsession is showing. I'm in love with the idea of the Dragonborn having a small fucking fortress full of all their friends.
And in this place, I'm picturing just random trinkets and items and notes and books and stuff left in different places by different followers. Everyone's personalities leak out all over the place. Maximum found family goals. Like the LotD museum but tailored around all the LDB's friends and the adventures they go on.
All the artifacts the LDB picks up aren't kept in some secret vault or hidden armory. They're divided amongst the gaggle of nerds following them around.
All those Dwemer artifacts? In Remiel's or Lucien's room. Everything you pick up from the Bard's College mysteriously makes its way to Taliesin's room eventually. Every time you walk near Gore's room, there's a new dog playing with Meeko - or maybe something he picked up from their stint with the Vigilants is sitting around. Not that anyone in the group is eager to relive the Vigilants era. Inigo got his hands on something incredibly dangerous and probably stuck it in a basket in the corner of his room. All the cool alchemical stuff is somewhere around Xelzaz's room. Auri's is a wonderland of Bosmer culture.
The only things locked away in a vault are the Daedric artifacts because no one is fucking with those.
I need this in my life. Omg pls. I know absolutely nothing about modding, and I'm certain I would break everything if I ever tried. But this needs to happen.
Any ideas on what funky doodads and ancient dangerous artifacts would end up in whose room? Share your ideas and expand on this, please. I wanna know
if theres one thing about me is im committed to The Bit
Do yall think he'd last like 20 minutes with The Gang* or nah. Actually, nevermind, script herself would drive him insane.
My hc is she just yoinked him from wherever he was like a crazed hawlk and just. took him with her a bit immediatly upon finding out he exists
My dearest @kogandremaaz , whom i randomly decided was skyrim script's nephew upon finding out he's Alduin's son, despite having never really explained the fact she is, technically, Alduin's (and every other dragon ig) sister.
Don't care, look at him yall, my nephew, I love him dearly, he inherited my Constant Exhaustion, this bit is the most wholesome one yet and its perfectly chaotic to fit in this chaos of a "story" I never meant to make
So my annual Skyrim replay is going great
The Gang's All Here!
I love that the Dovahkrew is a bunch of oddballs
Like, you got (modded followers):
One of the last Akaviri

The prince of the fucking Aldmeri Dominion
Some Changeling from the Merethic Era
A fallen sybil of Mara from the 3rd Era
A Breton who was supposed to marry rich but it was canceled due to false accusations
An Imperial scholar who, not until after he started travelling with the group, was not skilled at all in survival
Some survivor from the Great War who fought for the Dominion
A thalmor who was sent to die by the First Embassador
A thirteen year old argonian child with the vocabulary to make a sailor blush
A follower of Boethiah
A Bosmer who fled home because she broke the Green Pact
Some pirate who's crew mutinied against him
A blind woman who may or may not have fought in the Great War
Some argonian who doesn't know his past
The princess of Daggerfall
A mercenary who used to be apart of a bandit group until they were sold out to the Thalmor

A Redguard who would show you how to fight God by example
A cat who might as well be Sheogorath
A dunmer arcanist
A Nordic Imperial Dragonborn who actively hunts Thalmor for sport
I recently came across your comment that if you had to make Auri again you wouldn't include a romance - at least not a straight one - and honestly I feel that so hard. Nexus users can be the worst sometimes, pushing heteronormativity onto an implicitly lesbian character developed by lesbians for lesbians.
I would say go for it. Let them complain. This is your mod - not theirs. Your comfort, not their fantasies. Be unapologetic, stand firm, stand up for LGBT representation an in era of evaporating LGBT rights.
I hear you anon. I was a lot younger when I wrote Auri, and I wanted to please everyone. Still fighting that impulse a bit - but that's on me, not the Nexus users. To change Auri's orientation from playersexual to gay now, after almost a decade, would be a cruel and petty thing to do. Straight gamers aren't bad people just because they want to romance Auri when a romance is made available to them. Perhaps this is a controversial opinion, but after all of these years of modding, I've come to a conclusion that a character kinda stops being your character once you release them into the wild. People will mod their games in a billion different ways. They'll change how the character looks and behaves to suit their own playstyle. As follower authors we just kinda have to accept that. That's why I would never recommend you make a beloved OC into a follower. If you want full control of how your character is used in other people's games, don't make a follower. Your wishes will not be respected and that's just how it is. Of course, representation is super important, but again, failing to do so from the beginning was my fault. I'm sorry.
