Draco laughs : "How much sushi can one person eat?"
Hermione grabs his arm and pulls him towards the elevator, "Come on, it's not so bad."
Draco scrunches his nose in disgust, "Its vile, Granger."
Hermione starts to speak, "I'll have you know....."
A sweet voice interrupts them, "Draco, darling...."
They turn around to see Astoria hurrying upto them.
Draco groans, "Fuck my life."
Hermione's face falls and she mumbles, "I'll see you later."
Draco locks eyes with her and pleads, "Please, don't leave."
Hermione weakly replies, "It's okay, we can go some other time."
Draco grabs Hermione's wrist and growls, "I mean it, Granger."
His face set in stone, he narrows his grey orbs at the lavishly dressed woman in front of him.
Draco does nothing to hide his displeasure, "Tori, what are you doing here?"
Astoria giggles, "I'm here to see you silly"
She tries to touch his arm but he moves out of the way, "I thought we could go out to lunch."
Draco hisses, "You can't just drop in unannounced."
Astoria frowns, "Must I owl ahead to meet my fiance?"
Hermione shifts her feet awkwardly and whispers, "I'll leave you two alone."
Draco stops her from leaving and turns on Astoria, "We spoke about this, I can't give you what you want."
Astoria sneers, "Is it because of her?"
Draco replies at once, "No, it's because we have nothing in common."
Astoria chokes back a sob, "I love you, I've always loved you, we belong together, Draco."
She adds confidently, "It's written in the books, she has no place in our story."
Draco stares her down and states boldly, "Fuck the books, I love Granger."
Hermione widens her eyes in shock, "What?"
Astoria laughs hysterically, "Have you lost your mind?"
Draco glares, "Enough, this ends here, I love another."
Astoria wipes away the tears, "I will never forgive you, Draco."
She pushes past them and disappears down the stairs.
Draco sighs, "I didn't want to hurt her like that."
Hermione asks breathlessly, "Did you mean what you said?"
Draco faces her and cups her face lovingly, "I would hardly joke about something like that."
He kisses her gently, "I have loved you since the day you offered me half of your chocolate croissant."
Hermione returns the kiss and mumbles, "What will people think?"
Draco deepens the embrace, "Does it matter?"
Hermione slips her fingers into his silky fine hair, "Not really."
She breaks the kiss and grins, "By the way, I love you too, that's why I gave you half of my croissant."
Draco laughs, "I fucking knew it."
