A thoughtful Set for the new year⚡️

While Ausir is often recognized and honored as the King of Death, he has always been Life to me. After all, that was what he reigned over before he D/ied.

But even in spite of that, he primarily means cyclic regeneration, growth, and sovereignty to me as opposed to death.

I'm a true child of the Black Dog; death will always belong to him.

But something else - eternal love and devotion.

Love for Aset, a divine couple, so to speak.

Love for his people - so much so, he gave up life so his people could have a king.

Love for Anup - taking care of a child that wasnt even his, but loving him no less.

Love for LIFE and yet simultaneous devotion to death.

Love for Eternal Life and immortality.

And love for the subsequent generations after him.

Today is the start of my Epagomenal Days. Ausir's birthday is today, the King. I dedicate entirely today to him, in musings, photos and other's experiences with him. For the most part, he plays two roles in my life: Anup's adoptive father, and when I celebrate the Orisian Mysteries.
