17.08.17 | finishing up week 8 of the summer language challenge! honestly i did not have as much time as i would have liked to work on this over the summer but i’m going to persist anyway. this week i mostly studied grammar & conjugations, which still throw me off a little bc of the pronoun drop so i think it’s really important that i get the present tense ones down pat! as always please please please correct any mistakes i make in the paragraph below.

la escuela comenza el 19 de septiembre, y no soy preparado! tengo que comprar mis cuadernos, mis decoracións por mi dormitorio, y los libros por todas mis clases. estoy muy emocionada y espero con ansias el comienzo del año, aunque voy a extrañar mis amigos y mi novia.

11.09.17 | i’m absolutely in love with [this] pencil case that my girlfriend gave me, so i figured i’d give you guys a look at what i keep inside (and yes, it does hold this much stuff!) details about each item under the cut

staedtler fineliners - these were a gift from my parents a few years ago and honestly i love the variety of colours

my phone - duh

zebra mildliners - i caved and bought the name brand on these because they’re just so pretty and they definitely help me be more hype about annotating!

sticky notes/tabs - for long margin notes in books

burt’s bees chapstick - i’ll swear by this particular chapstick lol it does my poor dry lips so much good

fine sharpie - for every time someone asks me if they can borrow a pen and i don’t want to give them a nice one for fear of never getting it back :V

ballpoint pens - i honestly can’t remember where i got either of these anymore but they’re both really smooth and i like them a lot

black faber-castell pens (brush, fine, and small) - my favourite for calligraphy! these rarely bleed and dry super fast

bic mechanical pencils - i’m really picky about pencils for some reason and these are the only ones i haven’t had any complaints about for the past few years haha

29.06.17 | reaching the end of week one of notglot’s summer language challenge! i’ve spent a lot of time firming up the basics of what i knew, and i chose some programs to help me along the way - duolingo, of course, as well as language transfer’s complete spanish and coffee break spanish. i’m also planning on coming up with themed lists of vocabulary each week and trying to approach conjugations the same way i learned them in french.

since i’m supposed to post something in spanish as well, here’s a little intro based on what i’ve learned this week! please let me know if anything is wrong, i love learning from my mistakes.
