Finally, the young man had found the time to visit the eldest between his current successors. Monitoring Beyond and keeping track of the Kira Case, alongside with the various requests for cases he received daily. Most got turned down, and the ones he truly wanted to solve, but at the time couldn't stop and do it, were sent to the Wammy's House.

With a deep breath, he opened the curtain that separated his successor from the rest of the room, and sat down in the chair Ayatsuji was used to occupy.

He didn't knew how to start a conversation. It had been a long time since he truly talked with one or his successors, and they knew he wasn't the best at starting conversations. L had problems with knowing what to say or what to do, but he tried his best.
Even if he considered the possibility of Mello snapping at him, he took the risk to say something else.
