I made an improved version of this edit bc I can't stop thinking about this quote and Azula. She saw her older brother fail to meet the expectations of her father's regime, and what he suffered because of it. She had a clear choice: harness her natural talent to become her father's prized weapon, which could almost maybe look like paternal love if you tilt your head and squint a little, or disappear. Like Zuko. Like Ursa.
