OK… I did my normal improvisation to get into the feel of this… but… Everything is backwards here.  I wondered what would happen if I recorded the music backwards.

So I flipped the whole video backwards, removed the sound, improvised on piano and violin… then I flipped it back the right way so the video is just the same… re-added the words… but all of my music is backwards!

Hehehehehe, madness!  I love it!  What will happen?!  I have no idea!  Let’s go!!!

I then added a forwards violin line too… and let me tell you, it’s a lot harder to play with reversed music, because your senses don’t tell you where it’s going… because it is going where it was coming from… hahahhaha!

I feel like I am talking in riddles.

It felt rather like playing in riddles, too!

I have officially done a thing

Good morning, tumblr.

So, I've been wanting to make music for a while now, but I've held myself back for some time. Mostly because people who know me through YouTube, which is my largest following, know me through bad comedy videos or silent playthroughs of videogames, and I was concerned that people may not look past the lightheartedness of my usual output and see a more sincere attempt. But it won't do me any good worrying about that, so I've published a song.

I call it "a thalassic peace" because it makes me think of the coast and the photograph I paired the song to kinda looked the sea. It's a backwards electronic song with few elements to it.

Enjoy. Or don't. It's entirely your choice.
