(I came to your inbox to just say I love it but I just had a thought while typing- since this a spur of the moment thought and not thought through feel free to ignore it but- what if Dream swallowed a paper with a message on it for George? Or a drawing since George probably can't read?)

You're right, George probably wouldn't be able to read. Perhaps Dream would try to teach him during the dreams, but George's eyesight isn't very good so it might not work out.

The downside is that whatever Dream tried to swallow would absolutely get soaked with spit and would probably break into pieces before George could get it. But Dream could try swallowing unusual things to try and prove to George that he's "George's world." He could, like, swallow whole sweetberries and then in the dreams tell George that he did. It would be unusual enough that George would be tempted to believe him because food always is chewed up before entering the stomach, George would be very confused by seeing whole sweetberries.

They'd also probably be too big for him to try eating lol he's a little guy and even if he tried, he might not be able to take a bite out of one of them.

So Sapnap actually success in leading them to Dream or well in this case to the toad that eaten him. This type of toad tends to keep their prey in their mouth keeping them in saliva until they are out of breath and die so they can swallow them whole.

When they get there George notices an arm coming out of the toads mouth and seeing that the hand still moves a little, he quickly reaches to the toad and opens their mouth, letting Dream out.

Bad thing that Dream, is actually not breathing :]
