Day 23 is Tree Pose 🌳 (My hair looks like the tree emoji today 😂😋💕) Picture on the left is from 1/30/17 Picture on the right is from today 3/23/20 Usually I like to be perched on something lol today it’s just my yoga mat. Wanna know a secret about this pose? Your focal point changes the intensity of the balance 😳 Looking to my hands today was actually quite a challenge. I swayed as most trees do, but my roots kept me steady :) When I was younger I used to love climbing trees. They fascinated me. They embody the cycles of nature and to me that nurtured my flighty mind. I was a very hyper child lol (still am 😳) but I’ve always been touched by spirit. For me, trees are gateways to spirituality. They start as seeds and their evolution alone is miraculous. For a super hyper active kid to climb up a tree and find peace had a huge effect on my very own evolution. Trees helped me feel protected and connected to the limbs of the earth and the wind 🌬 which gently caressed those limbs & my soul...That’s how yoga feels for me now. PLAY TIME/ Utilizing these log seats that I brought up from the woods and turning them into yoga props 🤙🏽😅 This was definitely a struggle for me today, crow pose is one of my favorite inversions in my practice so the struggle was surprising at first - but I had to remind myself that this was the first time I have applied the strength/balance that I’ve gained in bakasana anywhere other than the earth/ground itself. Oh, and yoga in jeans 👖 is not very easy. Not much room for.. anything lol.
Still so much to learn and explore in this pose but I love challenging myself - especially to see where I can find comfort even if the most shakiest of poses! The EDGE. ✨
Oh, and apparently @andrewgoehmann thinks this should be done on a rock instead, I’ll take that as a challenge 😝👍🏽 #challengeaccepted #bakasana

Phase 1 will be Beginner's Easy Level, with less reps and I will slowly progress with 5 minute increment for 7 days, before transitioning to Phase 2 still Beginners, but moderate level with more hold, isometrics, eccentric and concentric control, for another 7 days, then slowly transitioning and averaging 20 minutes of workout to Phase 3 Beginners to Intermediate level, with averaging 30 minutes of work and lastly on the last 5 days, the Advance level with difficult level with loner workouts and form and poses of Pilates depending on the day and body part I am targeting with modifications to prevent neck, back and spinal injuries. Please join me and share this challenge to all your friends, loved ones, coworkers and family in order to help our community stronger and healthier.
