Anime only watchers and people who aren't caught up with the Manga, BEWARE... Cuz I'm about to discuss Spy X Family Mission 122... You have been warned...! 👌
[SPOILERS AHEAD FROM THIS POINT ON]
OH MY GOD!! 😫 THAT ENDING!!!! 😱 I AM SO TOTALLY FREAKING OUT RIGHT NOW!! 😵
Words cannot describe how I'm feeling after reading this chapter, so let's just jump right in shall we...? 👌😉
We start Mission 122 with Yor heading out to have dinner with her coworkers, who want to apologize for thinking that Yor was having an affair with Hemlock...! 👌😌 Anya then over hears what Loid and Yor are thinking about:
Which of course makes Anya freak out because it means that Plan C (also known as The Mommy Friendship Scheme 😉) has made more progress than Anya has with Damian for Plan B (which is honestly pretty true...!! 😌) So as Anya tries to figure out how to help Twilight with his mission, she over hears his thoughts about how Sigmund is connected to Donovan Desmond, which gives Anya the perfect idea:
LOOK AT THESE TWO, YOU CAN'T TELL ME THAT THEY AREN'T RELATED...!! 😆
Anya's plan was a success and now Loid and Anya are off to see the Authens...!! 😎👍 Once the Authens' place, Twilight is already keeping his suspicions of the Authens up, so much so that he ain't even gonna drink the tea that they offered him...!! 😩 (I swear, when I read that, I was I like: "Twilight, my homie, if they didn't poison you the last time you were there, what makes you think that they'll poison you this time...!!" 🤦) That's when Anya bluntly asks Sigmund...:
At first, I was like: "ANYA, WHY WOULD ASK ABOUT THAT WHEN YOU'RE SPY DAD IS CLOSE BY?!" 😱 But of course Twilight didn't understand what Anya was talking about...! 😌 Then Barbara mentions that Anya's curiosity reminds her of Sigmund, which gives Twilight an opportunity to ask Barbara more about Sigmund:
Can I take a minute to admire how CUTE Twilight looks in that first panel...!! 💗😍💗
*Ahem* Anyway... 😚 Twilight asks Barbara if he could see some pictures of Sigmund and her when they were younger, while Anya decides to double down and asks her Grandpa Siggy if he worked with an evil organization...!! 😲 Sigmund gets a surprised look on his face as Twilight tells Anya to stop asking him weird questions, which Sigmund says that he doesn't mind it and answers Anya's question:
Twilight then asks Sigmund if he got to know Donovan Desmond back then, and Sigmund confirmed it...! Twilight tries to casually get more information from Sigmund about what him and Donovan talked about back then, and Sigmund shared some things that are very interesting:
First of all, Sigmund says that him and Donovan were discussing "ways to treat the neuroses of soldiers", which immediately made me think: "Oh yeah, Sigmund and Donovan are DEFINITELY involved in the experiments that made Anya...!!" 😏👍 Second, none of the guys in the picture with Sigmund look like any of the scientists that we saw in Anya's flashback all the way back in Mission 1, though that's probably because Endo didn't want Anya to know that info yet, but I'm not quite sure... 🤔 And lastly...: ANYA, HOW COULD YOU FORGET ABOUT MY BOY GEORGE GLOOMAN, HE DIDN'T DESERVE THAT!!! 😭
Sigmund seems like he didn't really talk to Donovan all that much, which is enough for Anya to believe that her Grandpa Siggy isn't a bad guy...!! 😤 Though, Barbara mentions to Twilight that whenever Anya visits, Sigmund acts like his old self again before he got dementia, which is definitely a very suspicious occurrence...! 🤔 Twilight then wonders to himself if Sigmund might just be as he seems, but then Twilight backtracks that thought and says: "No. You never truly know who people are." After that, Loid and Anya are about to head back home when the Authens suggest that Loid should give Yor a welcome home kiss when she comes, and then THIS happens...:
ANYA IS A MENACE FOR THAT!!! 🤣🤣🤣 But that's also why she's the number one shipper of Twiyor on the planet...!! 👌😎
After that little bit of silliness, we end this chapter with something crazy...:
OH MY GOD!!! I KNEW IT!! 😵 I KNEW HE WAS ONE OF THE PEOPLE THAT WERE APART OF THE EXPERIMENTS ON ANYA!!! 😱
And that was Mission 122, I CAN'T BELIEVE WHAT I JUST READ!!! 😵 SIGMUND AND DONOVAN ARE PRETTY MUCH CONFIRMED TO BE APART OF THE PROJECT THAT EXPERIMENTED ON ANYA!! 😱 And from the looks of it, the project that Anya was apart of is called Project <C>...!! 👀 And what that could possibly mean is something I haven't figured it out yet, so hopefully we get an answer soon...! 🤞
Something I find interesting is that when the Authens first appeared in the manga, it was in Mission 90, 2 weeks after that chapter released, Short Mission 11 released, which focused on Anya and her name...! 👀 Now it could be a pretty odd coincidence, but I think that Endo might've planned to release these two chapters next to each to hint at Anya and Sigmund's connection...!! 😲 I don't know if that's the case, but it makes a lot of sense to me...! 👌😌 Also, I wonder if we're getting closer to the Forgers finding out each other's secret identities...! 🤔 I guess we'll have wait and see!! 😁
Yet again, I took longer than would've liked to release this review/reaction, but it's okay because as long as I share my thoughts with all of you guys, that's all I care about...!! 🤗
Anyway, until the next Mission; take care, be safe out there and be kind to one another...!! See y'all later!! 👋😄
"when you kiss someone, is it really normal to do it that many times?" –yor forger
aka 4 snippets of yor asking about kissing. inspired by sxf short mission 14!

When she asks her, Ms. Martha quirks a brow and flushes. It's a first, Yor thinks, to see the older woman look flustered when she's typically calm and composed in a way Yor envies.
"I'm hardly an expert on the subject," Martha says, her blush deepening. She looks at Yor a beat too long, lips poised to speak, before shaking her head and following the children out.

Camilla stares at her a little, almost making her wish that she didn't ask. "You talk like you're not married to a hot guy, senpai," she finally says before sipping her coffee. "I mean, when you look at him, don't you just want to... you know?" She raises her eyebrows and puckers her lips a bit, and it takes everything in Yor not to crush the spoon in her hands.
"W-w-with Loid, you mean??" But we're not like that! she wants to say. Though then again... they are married. Is that what married people do?
She turns to Sharon, who shrugs. "I don't french my husband every chance I get, if that's what you're asking."
This only makes her blush even deeper, to which Millie just laughs, young and uncaring.

"I'm sorry, please forget that I asked! It was inappropriate of me." Her fingers twitch around her cup causing the tiniest ripples to form on the surface of the tea, breaking the reflection staring back at her.
"Nonsense, dear," Barbara says, setting a plate of biscuits down. "I've heard young wives ask more embarrassing things at the start of their own marriages. This is nothing."
"Is that so...?"
Barbara has an austere face. It reminds Yor of the landlady at her first apartment in Berlint—sharp, scrutinizing, always early to knock on her door to ask about rent (never mind that Yor was always just as early to settle her balance with the lady's daughter). But Barbara's smiles are kind, enough for Yor's shoulders to relax and for her hands to stop shaking.
"'Normal', you ask?" Barbara raises her cup to her nose, sniffing the tea before taking a sip. "Well, I think everyone's normal looks different, dear. If we were all the same, then love would be immensely boring, don't you think? Why, when Sigmund and I first started dating..."

Loid coughs into his drink. She didn't think she'd catch him this off guard, but it must be weird for a wife to ask her husband about kissing?
"I'm so sorry! You don't have to answer, after all!" Yor has half a mind to put on her shoes and sprint out to go anywhere, literally anywhere else. She settles for burying her face into a pillow, wishing she could at least go back in time and smack some sense into past Yor.
"It's alright, Yor. I asked you to tell me." Loid clears his throat. "Erm, can I ask what brought this on though?"
"I... just don't know what to think, I guess?" It's not the whole truth, but it relieves her still to be honest. "I've never paid attention to things like this before. But now that we're married, I wonder if maybe I have to? B-Because—"
Because she doesn't get it.
Because she's never kissed anyone.
Because she's doesn't know how she'd know if she wanted to.
"—I won't know what to do. For our cover, I mean. I've messed up before, haven't I?"
Loid is quiet, which is somehow scarier than if he'd laughed at her for being silly. She chances a peek; at least he's not looking at her. But there's something about his eyes—something that's foreign on Loid's face and yet still somehow eerily familiar. When he catches her staring, he brightens, and it's just Loid again looking back at her.
"I agree that kissing can help maintain the illusion of a happy, married couple," he says. "And I know there were times in the past where we've been pushed to do it, but it's not the only way to show love and affection. I'd rather not do anything that will make you uncomfortable, and we could always just figure out what works best for us."
"But our cover—"
"—is fine. We're fine. But I appreciate that you've given it a lot of thought, Yor. It means a lot." At this, he cracks a smile, his usually sharp eyes now gentle, looking impossibly handsome under their modest kitchen lighting. Her heart stutters at the sight—a familiar feeling, at least whenever Loid is concerned.
When you look at him, don't you just want to... you know?
"Papa! Turn off my light for me!"
Loid rolls his eyes, the small smile on his lips betraying unmistakable fondness. "That girl... I swear." He downs the rest of his drink before turning back to give Yor a parting look. "You should turn in soon, too. Rest easy, Yor."
"L-likewise."
When he's finally out of sight, Yor releases a breath she didn't realize she was holding. She thinks back—to his eyes, his smile, his gentle reassurance, the way her heart skipped when she was with him... She doesn't quite understand them yet, if these are close to the feelings people get for someone they'd want to kiss.
But if it's with Loid, maybe she wouldn't mind finding out.
this is my first time doing something like this, and I'm no expert so please take my analysis with a grain of salt! all of this is my own theories, so you might disagree with me. please don't be mean, though (also, long post incoming!)
SPOILERS FOR CHAPTER 93 UNDER THE CUT
The chapter opens with the Eden kids getting the results of their marks, with Anya's...
overall rank shooting up, from 213th to 168th. Showing how she's slowly adjusting to the school and its pace of learning, despite being younger than everyone else (and, also, presumably doing extremely advanced things.... I remember seeing the pythagorean theorem on the board once in the anime)
Damian got highest in History (good job, buddy!), and Anya got second-highest in Classical Language (the one exam she genuinely studied hard for). But what I want to focus on is her expression:
Shock. She'd put up that front (that fake-face, if you will) in front of Becky, Damian, Emile and Ewen, pretending to be all cool and suave but when she sees her results, she's genuinely surprised to get good marks in Classical Language. And even her excited reaction. She was scared of disappointing Twilight (and maybe even Sigmund and Barbara) because she'd genuinely worked hard for this exam, tried to understand, and gave it her best attempt.
But, then, it all comes crashing down with her 24 points in math: but a win is a win!
Maybe this is Twilight's turning point in the fact that acquiring knowledge can be interesting, exciting, and not just a tool of survival? Twilight himself doesn't have a great relationship with studying, (see: his father scolding him as a child for not studying, later: his friends dying because he didn't know enough about the campaign they were going on... but Twilight's relationship with knowledge and its pursuit is a whole other post in itself).
Honestly, him realising that Anya is actually thriving in the setup where education is fun for her, opens up two new avenues:
Twilight himself trying to make learning fun for Anya (unlikely, he tried that before... it didn't work.)
Him leaning on Sigmund and Barbara to tutor Anya (this seems more likely- Endo is probably going to cement the Authens as recurring characters, so them being Anya's surrogate grandparents/neighbors/tutors would seem like a great way to do so!
And then...
My main focus is on the fact that he mumbles this (also his face. But that's irrelevant). Twilight may claim, "I don't understand children", but he's an extremely perceptive man. As much as I love to clown on him, he's highly skilled at picking up on cues of people's feelings. The few times he's failed are mostly due to Anya's shenanigans trying to hide her telepathy, mixed with his usual flavour of overthinking.
But the couple of things he knows about Anya are this:
She was probably raised in an environment where Classical Language was used.
She's not fond of talking about or remembering her past.
Which is why he didn't have the heart to fully sound out the question. In the case of Anya, this is an extremely delicate matter, and he doesn't want to upset her (or, in his words, "ruin Operation Strix.") The way he asked the question and it's portrayed made it feel like he'd been pondering on it for quite a while (which he has; since the beginning of the Cruise Arc), but more so usually. Most likely due to her high marks in the Classical Language tests (aka a dead language), and the fact that she got excellent marks in it, despite formally studying it for less than a year (at least, as far as he (and we) know.) He's been thinking of the possibility, and also thinking of a way to ask her. In the end, when he does ask her—
she lies.
and he lets her. (at least, that's my interpretation)
Obviously, he knows she's not ready to speak about it yet (though we know it's probably connected to her telepathy, so she's not ready to divulge that info).
Look, as much as I love talking about how clueless he is with his own feelings, in this scene, he was just... perceptive? I don't know if that's the right word. But he was trying to keep Anya happy, and bringing up this complex topic without ensuring proper care for her wouldn't be fair to her. And he knows that. So, he leaves it at, "Just forget about it, okay?"
This entire scene felt so... tense, and in itself felt like a fucking gut punch, so I don't know how I'll react to the reveal.)
And now, onto the main focus of the chapter:
him.
If I'm being honest, I thought Demetrius was, like, 16-19 (judging by his voice in the anime), and not... fucking twelve.
Honestly, that just makes his character all the more tragic: he's barely a teenager, and yet... he's going through this. From his awards ceremony, we can see that he got, what, 6 stellas? In addition to the eight he's gotten to be an Imperial Scholar, and if he performs this well in every exam... bro is literally hoarding the Stella supply of the school (sorry, bad joke).
But...
this panel comes up. It's definitely not Anya's telepathy malfunctioning, (heck, it works on Bond and even penguins). Honestly, I think, again, it could be one of two things:
He was experimented on, like Anya
He was trained, (most likely by Donovan), to keep his mind blank.
We're told that he and Donovan had an extremely close relationship:
This could be in support of both the theories: it could be Donovan checking up on his "experiment's" progress (a crude term to refer to him), or, it could have been him subconsciously training Demetrius to hide his thoughts, keep them safe. Anya's project is connected to Desmond's administration, and at the time she was "made", Demetrius would have been around 7 or 8. Old enough for him to figure out what he wanted to have been in life (ofc, that's different for everyone! It takes time, and 8 is an extremely young age to figure out what one wants to do). But, like, how Damian wants to be a politician, it's most likely that Demetrius, the prodigal, studious, first child, would have to follow the path of politics laid before him.
So it could have been Donovan teaching Demetrius to protect his sensitive thoughts from the "weapons" he himself was making: the test subject(s) of Anya's project (again, a crude term to refer to them). Donovan was putting a lot of faith into creating telepaths (most likely for covert work), and them having unwavering loyalty to his administration was not very likely.
And, even if Anya's project was the work of another administration or even country, there's no doubt that Donovan would want to keep his thoughts hidden from these kinds of spies: ones than can see into your very mind, especially if the world is at war: a physical battle or a war for information.
The first theory of Demetrius himself being a test subject is probably Not What Happened; so I think it's probably just Demetrius being trained to keep his thoughts hidden.
But then, we get some of his thoughts:
Which is a lot reminiscent of:
So, it's probable that Demetrius imbibed this from his dad.
It's honestly a bit scary to see how Donovan's "parenting" has affected him: for him, age 12, to be like this.
After this, the chapter ends lightheartedly: Anya trying to emulate Demetrius, and Loid Being Tired™️.
I'm mostly curious about Demetrius: I was so excited when he was finally revealed! But I hope we get to see more of his thoughts, soon. Especially more about his relationship with Damian. But, this chapter was fantastic!
(This was super fun to do- if i do posts like this for chapters as they come out, would you all like it? Again, I'm not an expert in psychology (or even analysis). It's just me and my silly lil thoughts. I hope you liked it!)
