Basil because it is so tasty but it always blackens and dies . Do you have any tips? Also what is your favourite plant?
Oh no! If it’s becoming black and crispy and then dies, it’s not getting enough water (or at least not enough in proportion with how much sun it’s getting). To know if it needs water or not, stick your finger about an inch into the soil. Also check the bottom drainage holes. If the top is dry, water it, but if the bottom is cool and kind of damp, it doesn’t need much. If you have it in a small container (instead of directly in the ground or something), it will probably need to be watered daily, but not soaked, if that makes sense. Keep the soil cool and ; not too dry, not soggy. My favorite plant is pothos! It grows so fast and is so easy to care for in the conditions I am able to provide, so it feels really rewarding when it’s healthy! Nursing a pothos plant back to health is so satisfying. Because sometimes difficult plants can be discouraging… I also really love how bright green they can be. Plus, the vines grow all over! I have them lightly hooked in a way that they are slowly crawling over my window and ceiling, I love it so much <3Â
