Sometimes all that is needed is some smartly clipped Laurus nobilis (bay, sweet bay, bay laurel) to complete the urban landscape. These were in Sheffield, UK, with the dark evergreen foliage framing this entranceway. The leaves can be used fresh or dried in cooking to give a fragrant flavour.
