ℕ𝕠𝕧𝕖𝕞𝕓𝕖𝕣 𝕋𝕒𝕣𝕠𝕥 it is hard to imagine a time I haven't felt like an outcast in some way. This challenge just begged to use the Sacred Hag's Oracle and the first card The witch's intuition pretty much launched itself at me while The Fern Forest just reinforced it. I remember being young and seeing spirits and my father explaining that he could, my grandma could and her mom. MMMMM, the LAYERS to this. 

She’s technically a monster too. She might not look it at first glance and seems mostly human, but it isn’t deniable even despite her looks compared to the other monsters. 

But she realizes that she is still not like the rest of the monsters either and may not have entirely the same experiences as them, which is why she feels that she might not belong to or deserve to go to the support group. By sometimes passing as human, she feels she isn’t worthy of the space. 

The sad reality though is even though she’s mostly human in appearance, that tail she has undeniably would still cause her some struggle. Humans are still gonna look at that tail and think she’s a freak. There are probably still accommodations she needs because of the tail that she may still struggle to have access to. Even if it is just the tail, that tail is still enough to other her from humans and cause her problems and discrimination. 

She should get to belong in that support group even if she gets told she’s not monster “enough”. She still shares some of the same struggles as them that are caused by being a monster, and needs support. 

This is an excellent demonstration of the flaws in the concept of passing privilege. Bravo to the artist.

ℍ𝕠𝕟𝕠𝕣𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕘𝕠𝕕𝕤 whenever I engage in needle crafts I always am doing it as both an act of service and as an act to honor Athena, the goddess of handicrafts. While I don't weave I think she is ok with the knitting. I also think of the myth of Arachne and her hubris. There are several versions of the story but I like the one best about Athena turning her into a spider after she hung herself in shame so that she could continue to weave beauty into the world. 🖤𝔻𝕒𝕣𝕜 𝔾𝕠𝕕𝕕𝕖𝕤𝕤 day 8 of the #hallowitchin21 challenge. The first dark goddess that caught my heart was Lilith, maybe it was growing up Catholic maybe it was being a 90s kid with Lilith Fair. I love that Lilith is about knowing what you deserve and knowing your worth. Lilith is mentioned in the Hebrew bible but the mythology most are familiar with comes from the writing of a Rabbi. Lilith is based (most likely) on an older archetype from Mesopotamia. Anywho... Lilith's myth that most people know is that she and the biblical Adam were both created by g*d from clay at the same time equally. Adam wanted Lilith to lie beneath him in a submissive position. She refused and left the garden. That is why there are two stories of Genesis in the Hebrew bible. Lilith's story and Eve's story. Adam is just kind of a f*ckboi. So which story of Lilith do you know? Maybe it is because it a tool of air and almost my entire chart is water, maybe it is something else. ℙ𝕖𝕣𝕤𝕠𝕟𝕒𝕝 ℂ𝕝𝕖𝕒𝕟𝕤𝕚𝕟𝕘, this is a super easy scrub for pre-ritual cleansing. This works great anytime you feel heavy from daily crap that sticks to you (miasma). In my personal practice I use blessed oil for offerings and other works, I add that to this also.
