growing up, her family were poor, especially since they had a huge family and only so little money.
when she was young, her family had a two bedroom home, so while her brothers shared a room, she shared a room with her parents. when her younger brother came in the picture, her parents decided to move into a home with three bedrooms with the help of her grandparents.
she has a HUGE family, her parents had five kids: six boys and her. her two eldest brothers are twins: ilhoon and jihoon -- they’re both seven years older. the third oldest is dongwook -- he’s four years older. then she was born. and lastly, is hyuk -- three years younger.
at age 15, in 2004, she was scouted by JEM Entertainment.
when dongwook started college, he had the opportunity to learn English and to keep him motivated, he made bea learn it with him, convincing her only with “it’ll be helpful if you ever decide you don’t want to be an idol, most jobs like if you know more than one language.”
her first acting gig was when she was six because the commercial ad gave her parents money.
her family were vvv loving towards her, especially since she was the only girl.
^ therefore she had never experienced anything remotely bad in her childhood, her parents + older brothers made sure she was sheltered enough to not be aware.
even to this day, as a 24 year old, she’s still quite naive and forgiving.

she really doesn’t like the concept of growing up, she hates it. but overall the years, she’s matured than her teenage self -- definitely an improvement.
