It's a scary process for me, at first I 'd get loads of cramps and feared it would never be possible.
Yoga gave me my first insights into my body.
Slowly but surely I bring a little more movement into my routine, although my right Achilles is often sore so I miss opportunities to walk far, but I do try.

Listen to your breath. “It can be confusing to coordinate breath properly with the movement, but my rule of thumb is, if you can’t do it and breathe, don’t do it. Pay attention to your ability to breathe (especially when things get challenging) and notice when your body decides to hold it.” 2. Honor your body. “That means not competing with anyone around you, and not competing with your own performance in previous or other classes. It also means that sometimes, movement will manifest differently in your body than we see in pictures or videos.” 3.
