Varric making Lanaya a comtesse, giving her clan some political power, and giving her a literal key to the city is just amazing.

Look at how excited she is! I am so glad that he thought of her. Varric sees the writing on the wall as far as the Inquisition goes. It is so considerate of him to make sure she is taken care of.
