The Witcher 3: Top Five Mods
We all know it’s a great game, but not without room for improvement. Luckily, the modding community did not give this game a pass, and while there’s hundreds of mods available for this glorious masterpiece, let’s take a quick look at five of the best mods (in no particular order) aimed at improving the game without fundamentally changing anything too much. Cities: Skylines isn’t a new game but it is one that will last its time, Released on the 10th March 2015 the most similar game before this was SimCity, I remember spending many hours playing this game.
With Cities: Skylines, Everything is better, from Graphics, Game Mechanics, Mod’s & DLC it truly is a great game, I’m really into City Building, Simulation & Strategy games, I think for me it’s about the sense of achievement and the constant work required.
Heres some trailers from Paradox Interactive.

So what is actually required? You start with almost nothing, it’s your job to build the economy, supply your citizens with houses, jobs and entertainment, as you further progress things get more challenging, you have to think about road layouts, access for commercial vehicles, taxi locations, bus routes, train routes, even imports for cargo ships.
The list goes on, you also have to ensure you watch your budget, adjust taxes and the local expenses for transport.
with the Natural Disasters DLC, you need to think about how you are going to protect your citizens from earthquakes, tsunamis, meteors, forest fires and storms.
and for the Football fans, give your city its own team and stadium, turn it into a tourist destination. Cities: Skyline is one of the most varied City Building games I have played and Paradox Interactive keeps on giving.

Its newest DLC called Park Life [Released On 24th May 2018] allows you to give your great city its own zoo, theme park, water fountains & five new maps to compliment the DLC.
You’re probably thinking, Why didn’t they add it to the game originally, but, these DLC’s add a lot of different content and many hours of gameplay, with each DLC a new gameplay is introduced, making you think even more.
I’m super excited for this one, I have about 70% of the DLC’s they have released and I’ll definitely be getting this one!
This is what my City looks like at the moment, I’ve restarted multiple times as I want to get things almost perfect, my biggest issue was traffic for commercial areas, however, this is now fixed with the current layout and a mod that gives me a lot more fine-tuning over the roads.
One of my previous cities was somewhat a lot more packed, as you can see below, roads had been dedicated to just council vehicles, it didn’t go well!
Now let’s talk about some of the Mod’s you can get from Steam Workshop, now they’re not extensive and they don’t alter the game dramatically, these just compliment the game.
Steam Workshop
Solar Panel Array
This mod MIGHT be slightly cheaty, however, one thing that annoyed me is in the Green Cities is the lack of green power option, mainly solar panels!
So I’ve decided to download this, my only issue that they do output too much power, but I want solar panels!?!

PainterPainter is a simple one, it allows you to modify the colour of the buildings, really simple but I liked using this, This mod allows you to change the colour of any building in the game!

Traffic Manager: President EditionThis has to be one of the best mods I’ve used, It’s not overpowering as if you do it wrong you can make it difficult for all vehicles, this mod allows you to fine tune all of the roads, from vehicle restrictions, changing speed limits, change what lanes can be used for vehicles.

Quad
This is a collection of new buildings, but I’d say the theme is a dystopian future, they all look amazing, in this collection, there are 170 buildings added and each one looks amazing!

Spectra Technologies Inc.
This one is a varied collection, all theme to be futuristic, In this collection, you get new wireless powerlines that don’t look horrible, new ways for trash collection & a better greener way to produce energy!

Personally most of these mods turn the game into a SciFi fest, but its a theme I really like! have you found better mods? let me know!
