Q: Qiliania (an extinct member of Enantiornithes)
R: Red Crossbill (female)
Got a set of four for this BirdABC batch! That means there’s only one set of four remaining in the whole set. Phew! Almost done.
S: Sandhill Crane, widespread in North America
T: Tinian Monarch, found only in the Northern Mariana Islands
U: Upland Sandpiper, a sandpiper that thinks it’s a miniature Sandhill Crane and doesn’t go to the coast at all
V: Varied Tit, South Korea’s cutest contribution to the tits and chickadees (and they’re found elsewhere too, but that’s where I saw one!)
