The last big Beta Update, exports and more
First of all, I'd like to say thank you to all the testers and writers who are helping me to make BlankPage better. Thank you, and I hope you enjoy the service!
In less then four weeks 150 authors have written over 100 000 words.
This is the fourth week of the closed BlankPage beta, and these weeks have been invaluable for me. We've found and squashed a lot of bugs, but now it's time to add some features.
Today I release the last big feature of BlankPage, a lot of you have been asking about it, and food good reason, but it took a little while longer than planned.
Finally everyone can export their stories, whenever they wish! BlankPage is founded on the principles that your work is your work. BlankPage will never try to lock you in or make it hard for you to get at what you have written. It sounds obvious, and it should be, but it's worth saying out loud.
We begin with just two formats: Docx and Txt. But I would love to hear more writers weighs in with how you'd like to download your work.
Inspiration emails now have options in the settings page, they also default to weekly emails. Inspiration will still be published more often on BlankPage.io and here in the blog.
Since new features are on the horizon, I'll start sending out newsletters like this one. Don't worry though, it'll only happen once in a while. Of course, they can also be unsubscribed from the settings page if you don't want to hear what's happening with BlankPage.
So what's next? Well before the beta ends, there's still a lot to do. Next up I will revamp the statistics diagram to more accurately show you your progress. After that, the list is long, but consists mostly of small fixes. So please keep the feedback coming!
Thank you again for trying out BlankPage, I hope I can help you reach your writing goals!
