Random Cosmere Characters at a Sleepover
Cosmere characters are having a sleepover! But it's a sleepover with only three people. And those three people have been randomly selected. I'm not sure quite how this would happen, but let's get out our sleeping bags and go for it!
And yes, this is totally random! (Aside from not letting the same character be chosen multiple times.)
[#5 contains Isles of the Emberdark spoilers!]
1. Radiant, Yanagawn, Tindwyl
Radiant (defensively): Sword-fighting is a GREAT sleepover activity--and a great thing for a king to learn! Tindwyl: Yanagawn is not a king. He is Prime Aqasix, and his country has different values than Roshar. Sword-fighting is explicitly NOT something they value in a ruler. Radiant: Not everything has to be a kingship lesson! Why can't we just have fun? Yanagawn: [Has tears in his eyes] Radiant: O-Oh. Are we upsetting you? Yanagawn: I'm just so happy that only two people will watch me sleep tonight! Yanagawn: (gasp) Or, if you both sleep too, then maybe zero! Radiant: ... Tindwyl: ... Yanagawn: Best sleepover ever!
2. Notum, Siri, Elend
Siri: I brought late-night snacks for the sleepover! What did you two bring? Elend: I, uh...brought books in case the sleepover got boring? Notum: I brought myself. To a human gathering. That's actually pretty good for me. Siri: ... Siri: Oh, you two are hopeless-hopeless. Siri: I am now in charge of this sleepover. Elend: Oh thank goodness!
3. Marasi, Evi, and Vivenna
[It is 3am. The three women are all snuggled on a big couch, hair braided, wearing face masks and holding hands] Evi: I...I didn't think I'd ever have best friends before tonight. Marasi: You're so strong and brave, Evi! Honestly, you're an inspiration. And so are you, Vivenna! Vivenna: I think some very old wounds healed, somehow, by being with you two... [Massive sleepover success!]
4. Akane, Iyatil, Demoux
Akane: Okay! Makeover complete. What do you each think?? Iyatil: [now dressed sharply in a gray suit with a dark-orange vest that matches her mask] I feel...dapper? Demoux: [wearing a red and orange Hawaiian shirt and cargo pants] I feel...festive? Akane: My work here is done.
5. Starling, Wax, Moash [Contains Isles of the Emberdark spoilers!]
Starling: Nobody fret! I have thoroughly planned every aspect of our sleepover! Starling: We'll start by each revealing a deeply held secret--this will create instant friendship! Starling: I'll start! I'm actually a dragon, but my powers are sealed because I saved some people I wasn't supposed to save. Wax: I killed my wife. Twice. Moash: I killed several of my friends. Wax: Hey, man, I'm sure you had your reasons. Moash: And you didn't? Hang in there, bro. Starling: ... Starling: W-Wait!
6. Elhokar, Laral, Silence
Elhokar: I think we should talk about our crushes. That's a sleepover thing right? Elhokar: I-I am man enough to admit that, well.... I had a thing for Kaladin, once. Laral: Heh. You're not the only one. Laral: Emphasis on once. Elhokar: Ha, ha! Totally! Elhokar: What about you, Silence? Silence: I was married once. But he died. And became a Shade. Laral: ... Elhokar: ... Silence: So....do we have any snacks?
7. Nazh, Crow, Hmask
Nazh: [glaring at Crow] Crow: [glaring at Nazh] Hmask: [munching peacefully on popcorn] Hmask: Hey, do you guys think Adolin would come over if we called him?
8. Rock, Bleeder, Sixth of the Dusk
Rock: A god deserves respect! Dusk: Yes. Patji kills you if you don't behave with respect. Bleeder: I'd punch any god in the face. Right here. Right now. Dusk: I too have wished to punch Patji in the face at times... [Rock & Bleeder: Glaring at each other] Dusk: I am having a surprisingly nice time.

Danish noir alert! BLEEDER is now available to stream on the Criterion Channel.
As ASK EDDIE watchers already know, this is one of our Director of Communications Anne Hockens favorite Danish films and her favorite by Nicolas Winding Refn. Mads Mikkelsen gives an incredible performance as introverted video store clerk Lenny. This is a rare streaming opportunity.
