Blessed Lammas! It’s the first harvest festival of the year, but it’s about more than picking blackberries or vegetables, it’s about what are you harvesting in your life this year. That’s usually a much lighter question, but 2020 is a real challenge for finding the light. I asked a friend and fellow Wiccan what she’d harvested so far, and she couldn’t answer at first, but she finally came back with patience and peace. She’s in lockdown with small children so learning patience and finding peace was a wonderful thing for her to realize she had found within herself. My first thought was easy, I’ve harvested a book. Sucker Punch officially publishes on August 4, 2020. I finished writing it just before lockdown began and editing was finished in the first weeks of quarantine, so it is truly something I have harvested this year. I’m so glad I could have a new story to share with all of you now. I hope Anita’s newest adventure is the escape and refresh you need. I can’t wave a magic wand over all of us and fix everything, but I can write stories to share with you.
