You know what I love? Being partnered up with a friend for a bang. You know what else I love? That this is the second year in a row for the HorrorFest Bang, and I got paired up with the amazing @bleuzombie again. Their writing is just incredible, and this story hit in all the right ways. Like, I could legitimately see this on a big screen and want to see it again and again. You can find this amazing story HERE.

Some warnings, as this is a HorrorFest story, there is a lot of homophobia and transphobia in this fic, as well as the physical and mental abuse that comes from conversion therapy. There are also a couple of minor character deaths, but hey, it's a horrorfic. Now, for the art! As always, click for the bigger pic, Tumblr's compression is still weird.

“Don’t move,” Jason whispers. “If we don’t move he won’t see us.”

“That’s for a T-rex and it’s a lie. They could very well kill you even then.”

“You are shitting on my hopes and dreams, Replacement.”

“I’m not. I’m just saying —”

“Todd,” Damian calls and when he gets no answer from Jason, he whimpers, “Drake.”

“I can't believe I'm saying this but he’s breaking my heart, dude."

“Shut up, don’t give in. It’s a trap.” Jason says. “It’s a trap —”

They lose both the battle and the war when Damian stops waiting for them and instead stumbles forward, almost drunkenly, and unceremoniously flops himself on Jason’s front, full-on crying against his chest.

“Jesus fuck, Baby-bat. Who do I have to kill?”

(Or the one where Jason and Tim come to the Manor on the early hours of the day after a long night of patrol and they find weird new kind of life form out of this world that cries with snot and all inside the Manor. It takes them some time, because they are both dumbasses, to convince themselves that's actually their little brother crying his eyes out.)

Wild steps out of the portal, looking both exhausted and victorious at the same time through all the grime and dirt that sticks to his body, and he only beams brighter once he spots them just a few feet away from him.

All of them are able to share a relieved smile with their missing champion before he’s swallowed up by the stone hard ground beneath his feet. The portal that had brought their missing brother back closes shortly after and the group is left in silence. One that was never meant to last long.

“Seriously?!” Wind shrieks and spats out every curse known in his Hyrule and the others’ Hyrules he has learned throughout their quest as he glares at the cobble stones that have stolen both his face and brother. “You wanna go, bridge? You wanna go!?”

(Or the one where the Chain is able to reunite with the brother that got taken away for another quest only for said brother to get eaten by a bridge out of nowhere. It takes them a while to make sense of it through all the panic and screaming.)

If possible, Jason’s smirk grows sharper.

“Oh?” he mumbles, crossing his arms with a smirk. “Wanna bet on that?”

Like a true Wayne in everything but blood, Tim freezes and slowly turns to meet Jason’s challenge with a narrowed glare.

“Do I want to bet if you get stabbed when whatever you have planned to make Damian smile will, certainly, get you stabbed?” Tim asks, voice monotone.

Jason nods, chin held up high with pride as if he had already won. “Yah.”

Tim blinks. Once. Twice.

By the third blink, his smirk matches Jason’s perfectly.

“You’re on.”

(Or the one where Dick just wanted to prove his dumb brothers wrong about how their youngest does have a heart and a smile, come on, and it somehow turned into a wholesome bet on who gets the more smiles out of their Robin.) ((Jason goes first. Spoiler alert: it does not go well))

Hey Bleu, I can't find the kl fanfic "Last Sunrise" you wrote like two years ago, I have looked on every referenced link but all of them are broken. I recently found a fanart someone did about the fic, royalty au is my shit and I reaaaally want to read it. Did you post it somewhere else besides AO3 like Instagram or Tumblr? Did you delete it? (It would be a shame if you did but I'd understand it's in your right as an artist to save the art you feel more comfortable and happier with)

“You’re not being practical,” Damian snarls at him.

“And you’re not being rational.” Tim throws back. “Please do me the favor of looking down, Demon, and tell me exactly how letting you fall into the dark abyss below you is the practical choice here?”

Damian scoffs at him. “It’s hardly an abyss, I can see the building's rumble below and some of the broken infrastructure at the bottom -”

“Wow, you’re so not helping your case.”

(Or the one where their patrol night goes to shit and Tim has a really stubborn little brother that apparently wants to die again just because he's stubborn as fuck. Sucks for Damian, though, because Tim is used to doing the exact opposite of what Damian wants just to spite him. Like a good big brother.)
